  1. I have a question for anyone using Linux

    What's you're favorite distro for laptops? Specifically I've got a 2006 laptop that after careful deliberation and looking I decided to run Linux Mint 11 LXDE on. I'm very happy with the distro overall, it's much faster than XP could ever hope to be which is the only available license I have, and it can do pretty much everything I want it to with a large wealth of Ubuntu apps being a derivative. The only problem I've had is with steam which I can fire up but can't get anything to run, but considering I'm trying to run windows games through a windows app on linux you could expect some problems.. With wine and some tweaking I was even able to get Starcraft 1 and 2 running so I can play with my friends when I go over their house and can't reach my desktop.

    I was just wondering what either of you two, or anyone else that decides to come onto the boards would suggest.
