(Nope. Now it's your turn again. You actually have several options. You can either attack the Dryad again, run away, or use an item.)

Jen backed away from the Dyrad, hoping it wouldn't attack anymore. All she wanted was to get out of there, not get killed. So she turned and ran as fast as she could away from it, still not sure where to go.

[KJ]

You successfully run away from the Dryad.

*venture deeper into the cave
*search the ground for an item

Which do you choose?

(I'm gonna pick search ground for item. But what kind of item can I look for?)

When she felt as though she was far away enough from the Dyrad, Jen stopped and looked around the cave but didn't see anything familiar. "I never thought of looking for anything that might help me out of here.." Jen said to herself.

[KJ]

(basically you can find useful and non-useful things, such as an empty bottle. But anyway... let's see what you find...)

You find a torch that has a few embers left on it. It is usable to help you find your way through the cave.

Your options are...

*venture through the cave
*search the ground again for no apparent reason

(Venture through cave!!)

"Hm, this could come in handy.." Jen mused, holding the torch up. She held it out in front of her a little, looking around the cave. but there didn't seem to be anything around her....

[KJ]

In front of you, you see two separate passages, each leading to who knows where. Which passage do you pick, the left or the right?

Jen looked at two paths in front of her. She didn't know where it would lead, but she picked left and started onward down the path.

[KJ]

As you go down the left passage, several bats fly overhead, trying to find their way home. In front of you, you can see a skeleton laying limp on the cave wall, and an unopened chest that is covered in dust.

Your options are...

*search the ground
*examine the skeleton
*open the chest
*keep going through the passage

Which do you choose?

(Open the chest...)

Jen spotted a chest near a grotesque skeleton in the path. "I wonder what's in this chest...?" jen said aloud, going over near it.

(Hey, aren't you gonna post anything about Travis?)

[KJ]

(You'll see.)

As you examine the chest, you notice that there's no need for a key to open it. As you wipe away the dust, you open it and hear a loud gasping noise. Inside the chest is a hedgehog in dark red robes gasping for breath. "Oh thank God someone opened that damned chest!" He shouted.

[angelfire]

(AHAHAHAHA!! Nice way for him to enter the story!!!)

Jen screamed, then stumbbled back away from the chest, staring at the hedgehog in fright.

[KJ]

The hedgehog turned to face Jen, unaware that he had frightened her. He tries to crawl out of the chest, and stumbles. He eventually got out, and held out his hand. "Need some help?"

[angelfire]

Jen just stared at him, scared. But she took his hand anyway and he helped her up. "Who are you?" she asked the hedgehog.

[KJ]

"I am Travis the Mage. Who might you be?" Travis asked.

[angelfire]

"I'm Jen. I'm a Rogue," she replied to him. "Why are you in this cave, anyway?" she asked.

[KJ]

"I don't know myself, to tell the truth. I just somehow wandered in here, and got trapped in a chest. But anyway, maybe we should work together to get outta here, this place is dangerous." Travis said, looking around the passage they were in.

Travis joined Jen in her travels.

( I think I'm starting to sound like an RPG game... )

(Yes, yes you are! )

Travis and Jen walked on further in the cave, with Jen still holding her torch that she had found earlier.

(Ugh... sorry i wasn't on in the last half hour, I had to get off the computer unexpectedly. But anyway... I'll continue with this. Oh, and all right Bio. Just come in the RP whenever you thought up your character.)

As they ventured further into the passage, the two spot a Dryad who looked infuriated. As soon as it spotted them, it ran at the two in total rage, initiating a battle.

SPEED CHECK

Dryad's Speed: 4
Jen's Speed: 2
Travis's Speed: 1

Dryad goes first.

Dryad prepares to attack.
Dryad rolls a 6.

Dryad charges at Jen, preparing to slap her forcefully.

Jen prepares to defend.
Jen rolls a 3.

The Dryad makes a near-fatal hit, but Jen manages to keep standing.

HP CHECK

Dryad: 4
Jen: 1
Travis: 6

(Something I forgot to mention: After every battle, everyone's HP is restored to it's normal state.)

Jen prepares to attack.
Jen rolls a 3.

Jen tenses her legs, then charges at Dryad, about to make an attempt to perform a roundhouse kick.

Dryad prepares to defend.
Dryad rolls a 3.

As Jen strikes the plant, it barely feels the blow and laughs.

Travis: 6

Travis prepares to attack.
Travis rolls a 2.

Travis tries to grab the Dryad, but it slips out of his grip.
