But anyway... I wanted to make sure the idea would go forth correctly by making a test scenario of the DnD game before I actually make the real one. If those that were invited join this and understand the motives and correspond correctly, I'll make the real one where there will be more scenarios.
Now, onto the rules...
RULES
First off, you have to make a character. This is how the character sheet will be turned in when finished:
Name:
Age:
Gender:
Species:
Class:
Appearance:
Now to make a list of the species that can be used...
SPECIES
Hedgehog
Kitsune (A kitsune is a two-tailed fox, just in case someone didn't know that...)
Fox
Echidna
Wolf
Reptile
Bat
Mechanical
Bird
Artificial (Something like Chaos... or anything made from an animated material...)
Half-Species (Like a hedgefox or something similar.)
Human
Now that species are taken care of, time for the list of classes and some information on them as well...
CLASSES
Warrior: Just your ordinary weapon-wielding class who has basic attributes. It has a normal range of usable weapons and armour. Can learn LVL 1 spells only. (I'll go over spells later.)
Rogue: A street-swindler, or to make this more clear, a thief. A very tactical-dependent class, the few disadvantages are that it's restricted to light-weight armour, LVL 1 spells, and weapons such as knives and throwing weapons.
Mage: This is your basic spell-casting class. Due to it's cloth-like armour and staves, it's not wise to make this a close-up attacker. But intelligence is it's companion, and with it comes the ability to use LVL 1 through 4 spells.
Archer: I bet you can understand this one quickly, a person who is restricted to ranged weapons and light armour. Cannot use spells.
Fighter: A class that focuses on pure obliteration. With it's wide range of weapon choices, no being dares to get in its way... Unless they actually take him/her down first. Just like other classes I've named, it can only wear LIGHT ARMOUR! (DUN DUN DUNNN!!!
I'll come up with other classes later on, but I can tell you this: Once you level up a certain number of times, I'll allow multi-classing! I just won't say when! That's the fun part.
STATS
To make this a little fair, I'll have you pull out one six-sided die. For each stat (Strength, Endurance, Speed, etc.) you will roll the die once. Add the outcome for the stat, and that's what you get. HP and MP will already be with the class, so I'll put that down now...
Warrior
HP:10
MP:2
Rogue
HP:7
MP:3
Mage
HP:6
MP:8
Archer
HP:7
SP:3
Fighter
HP:8
SP:4
APPEARANCE
This might be the fun part for some of you, the appearance of your character can be drawn! Just attach it whenever you make your character sheet.
BATTLING
This is how battling will go. Obviously the character with the most speed will go first. You roll your die once, and see what you get. If you get 1 or 2, you miss. If you get 3 through 5, you add that with your strength factor to get the amount of damage you dish out! Here's a fun part, if you get 6, you get to roll again. If you get 6 again, roll once more, and so on. Just one thing, please be truthful about your die rolls. I don't want any cheating.
Anyway, when you attack, choose a target. When you have your target, ATTACK IT! The target's roll will then come into play. It (or me, since I will play the monsters) will roll a die once. If it (or me, whichever you want to refer the monster as) gets a 1 or 2, it's block will fail. 3 through 5 will add the roll with it's defense factor.
Here's an example of what I'm talking about:
I will use a LVL 1 Warrior with a Strength factor of 4, and I'll use it to attack a monster with an Endurance factor of 6. I roll my die, and I get a 3. I add that with my Strength factor, and get 7. Now I attack the monster. Now the monster rolls the die, and gets a 1. Since it can't defend, I take 7 HP away from the monster.
I'm hoping that little example simplified things. Oh, and if any characters or monsters have the same amount of speed, I decide who attacks first (Since I am the Dungeon Master and all...). Which reminds me, I should tell you about the Dungeon Master.
DUNGEON MASTER
The Dungeon Master is the guy who overlooks the whole scenario in a Dungeons and Dragons game. I have to make sure that nobody is cheating, and make sure there are no mistakes with stats or anything else. I am also someone who can help you, you can ask me what you can do in a certain spot. I'll give you an example so no one will get confused...
Let's say you are in a town, and have no idea what to do. You can ask me what your options are. I will say something like this...
"Your choices are:
*Talk to some townsfolk
*Go into a shop
*Look for quests"
Now let's say you pick "Look for quests", then you HAVE to type this: "What quests can I take?" Then I will say either "There are no quests at this time." or "There is a quest.".
You may also ask me for help in battle, but it isn't that easy. You must roll higher than 3 in order for me to help you, but the only help I can offer is the weaknesses of the monsters, tell you if there is a hidden item on a monster, or advise you on what you should do next in battle.
GOLD
Now this is where we talk about money, the gold that you obtain from monsters, chests, etc. Gold can be used in numerous ways, either to donate to a homeless guy (You may never know what will happen if you do!), purchase items from shops, and to trade with people. There is also another way to obtain gold and other things, and it's called stealing.
STEALING
Stealing involves your speed, and your strength. To succeed, you have to hope that your roll is good. To steal successfully, you roll your die once. If you get less than 3, you will alarm the target. When the target is alarmed, it will battle you. Make sure you get 3 or higher to steal successfully.
I think that will be enough for me to type... Just make sure that you are prepared: Please make sure you have a pencil and some paper to write down your stats and such, and a die. If you don't have a die, then I will roll for you. Just keep the rules in mind everybody. Also, only those that got a PM of invitation may join. If you want to join, send me a PM.
