Yeah... I've been practicing my still-life drawing style for quite a while now, and I think I've improved quite a bit. This is just one of the samples I whipped up in my art class. It's the computer that sits right beside my teacher's desk, but besides that, let me attach it. C&C welcome.

We were just doing still-life in my art class. We had to choose an angle to view basic polyhedrons at first, but when our 2-week project came, we had to draw 2 items from a western theme. It was basically one huge lesson in shading. Of couse, I suck at drawing writing, and shading...

Anyway, your picture looks alright. Did you use crayons to do this?

This was originally drawn with pencil, but I decided to use watercolors on it.

Oh. That explains the way it was colored.

It was also originally a project in my art class, we were making postcards that day. I already made one faster than anyone else did, and my teacher was very impressed, and asked me to make another one.

I think it would've looked better if I left it uncolored though...

He means, after scanning it, go to an image editing program (example: Paint) and cut off all the white space surrounding the main image. If you want, I could make a graphical guide for you if you're still in the dark and because I kinda suck at explaining things unless I show people what I'm talking about.

Oh, I understand that completely, but the white area can't be erased on Paint.

Yeah, but you can still cut the part of the image that you want viewed out and paste it into another Paint file. If the canvas is too large, you can resize it accordingly.

Here's another still-life drawing of a room in my house. Please pardon the scribbles on the bottom of it, I didn't know how to draw the carpet, so I used scribbles instead.
