They look cool, but why are they blurry? They'd look a lot better if they weren't blurry.

They're meant to look that way; especially in the third one. The background is grainy, and the monster is blurry, to stand out. Plus I have no idea how to make text look sweet...

Edit: They are kinda sucky, but for a first try I think I did decent work.

If that your first time ever using Photoshop, then yeah, you did a pretty good job for a beginner. That program has a really steep learning curve, especially when you're just first starting out.

Honestly, they're crap, but it's still a good first try. Seems you've already grasped layers.

What, are layers supposed to be hard to grasp or something in the Photoshop application (excluding the fact that it has a learning curve)?

I think when you're first introduced to layers it can be a little daunting, yes.

Yeah they are total crap with which I've done little with, now that I've been introduced to even more options. I learn a little more each day... It's progress, anyway.

Sometime in the coming year I hope to take a class on Photoshop here. Maybe a spring semester class...

Heh, if you keep this up, you'll be as good as me in about....Never. XD

Naw, just keep practicing, and any advice your teacher gives you is most likely the most retarded way of doing things, so just kinda ingore him/her and browse the internet for tutorials. That's about the best thing you can do.

Never as good as you? Fuck, I'll just quit while I'm ahead. If I got as good as you, I'd still quit...

But really, thanks for the advice. It's not too bad learning on my own.

Indeed, not that great, but good for a first time. Keep working at it, and it'll just get easier with time. It's just like riding a bicycle... Or something of that matter. It's just like riding anything. You get better when you do it more. :]
