OK, I've decided to try my hand at poetry. And I thank Goober for inspiring me to start writing, and here's one I whipped up within an hour. C&C are welcome.

Warning: A very long poem awaits...

Prone to Disaster

This always happens,
I always do something wrong.
What is it that makes you think,
that disaster follows me?

Just because you have to
look over your shoulder,
doesn't mean that my
shadow will harm you.

Sounds ringing in your ears,
are just illusions to me.
To you though,
they haunt you at night.

Don't be afraid, I'm here
to protect you.
Nothing will get you,
while I'm still around.

**********

Hold me tight,
don't let go,
shield me with your presence.

Demons here,
devils there,
does God know of our sin?

Shrieks of dragons,
screams of demons,
my head aches from repetition.

I don't know,
why it happens,
it's like you're prone to disaster.

**********

I shan't be,
while guarding you.
Nothing will get by me,
even if by force.

I'll always protect you,
from the events occuring.
Even if I cause them,
you shan't be harmed.

Prone to disaster I may be,
even it surprises me.
I know this will stop,
while you're still around.

Evil beings are drawn by fear,
but shall be stopped if held back.
My defensive acts will guard you through life,
chivalry shall surpass.

**********

I thank thee,
for protecting me,
but how long can you last?

You can't fight,
all your life,
just to protect me.

I can't stand,
your chivalrous ways,
for even the shortest moment.

I am not,
all that important,
just let them take me.

**********

Are you sure about your decision?
For I shall leave if you ask,
just speak up, I will understand.
I'll fight to the death, until you give the word.

Yes I'm sure,
now leave me be.
Let them take me,
just don't forget me.

I shall not, my love.
Your image shall stay in my heart.
No matter how long, I'll always remember
your face.

The pain will end soon,
I know it will.
They are now taking me,
just don't follow.

I shall not,
even if you're in pain.
I shall not step into the fight,
unless you want me.

Shed your tears,
I know you need to.
I know how your heart aches,
when you see me writhe.

You're correct,
I'm hurt when you are.
I want to jump in,
but I can't unless you want me.

**********

Now that you are gone,
my face is strewn with tears.
My mind can't stop thinking about you,
even if I try.

I don't want to live,
now that you've passed away.
I yearn to see you again,
by any means.

Then this shall end,
the way it should have.
I'm prone to disaster,
so let disaster take me.

Mayhem wrecks my body,
evil shreds my soul.
Bloody fangs rip me apart,
and stained claws reave my mind.

I've found you, my love.
Now we can be together forever.
Watch the setting sun, sitting on the clouds.
At last, our souls can rest in peace.

How am I supposed to judge poems? This is too hard to think about. Maybe I'll write a poem about how hard it is to judge poems.

Poems? Judging? Hah, impossible.
The simple idea of such is unfathomable.
Were it to be done, I would simply laugh.
As some of my semen dribbled down my calf.
My complete idea of reality would be sliced in half!

I know I read the poem already, but let's face it, your writing is incredible!

"FREEZING!
Can't move at all!
SCREAMING!
Can't hear my call!

I'm dying to live!
CRY OUT!
I'm trapped under ice!"

Poems are not fan fiction.

I like to join the crowd
I think I am cool when I say what they say all loud
My originality is dead
I need to be shot in the head

Is it alive, does it writhe
Can it survive under the sun?
I can't put my finger on it.
Is it green, is it red
Is it alive or is it dead
I can't put my finger on it
Scathe with a lathe
All the days in the past
I can't put my finger on it
Is it brown, is it white
Is it really outta sight
I can't put my finger on it

Can it squeal, does it squirm
If it's fresh will it burn?
I can't put my finger on it
Can it fly, will it try
If the wings are still wet?
I can't put my finger on it
Can it heal, is it real
Can it feel the threads of time?
I can't put my finger on it
Does it glow, will it shine
Does it leave a trail of slime
I can't put my finger on it

All right then, thanks for C&C, and for Muzzy's comment: I'm not trying to start a flame, but I do have a life. I just do this in my spare time, and for Livejournal, what's that?

Bless the father bless the son
cross your heart cos you're the one
collectin' moon-beams in the mornin'

curvy sticks and wooden poles
assistin' you in pluggin' holes
plug them holes till you see
straight through to the mind's eye

think about it turn around
and go back to the quiet sound
of Jim and Dan prancin' round the pool
you were the fool
and I feel sorry for you
you were the fool
but there's something you can do

you can wash your arm in a pool of mud
you can chop a tree prevent a flood
you can speak with a turtle just by flippin' him around

you can build a boat sail the sea
you can buy a moat forge a key
initiate the sequence create catastrophe

think about it turn around
and go back to the quiet sound
of Jim and Dan prancin' round the pool
you were the fool
and I feel sorry for you
you were the fool
but there's something you can do

Yo Yo Yo I think I'm cool
Yet in reality I am stupid fool
I think I show you up by busting a good rhyme
My stupidity should make me guilty of a crime

Yeah, here's another one. C&C welcome.

Moonlight
****************

When the sky turns black,
and when the stars appear.
The sun will be replaced,
by a mystical orb.

It's large craters make it unique,
and it's size makes it hard to miss.
But the best thing about this orb,
is the light it brings.

A rock so up high in outer space,
with light that brightens your life.
Such a mystical sight relieves the soul,
all thanks to moonlight.

Shining down upon us, with stars surrounding.
It brings us closer, with love in the air.
It phases through the leaves on trees,
so the light can wash itself on us.

We're meant for each other,
destiny pulls us together.
If it wasn't the light,
then what else would make me feel this way?

My heart is beating fast as you come closer,
sweat runs down my face.
But the light seems to relieve my feelings,
so I can come closer to you.

The moon is a mystical orb, it's light seemingly having power.
Fire burns in our souls, our love lasting forever.
My heart soars as our lips touch,
and I'm sure you feel the same.

And it's all thanks to moonlight.

Yeah, call me a wuss or whatever, I'm into writing love poems. Deal with it.
