The drum noise that is made after a joke is told. Do a search maybe if you don't know what it sounds like?
What is it that makes a complete stranger dive into an icy river to save a solid gold baby? Maybe we'll never know.

Actually, a rimshot is when you use the drum stick to strike the skin of the drum and the metal rim at the same time - the tip hits the skin and about 1/3 to 1/2 from the tip of the drum stick hits the rim.
It creates a louder noise than just striking the drum skin on it's own. Also commonly used to create a harder, rockier feel in a tune.
It's quite hard to hit it perfect every time.

You should be able to create a new topic in any forum except this one (News / Announcements). It is specifically reserved for announcements from the Administrators (Sway & I).
