I know it's an off-topic/spam forum, but Christ, even MAM has standards. There gets to be a breaking point where things just get too shitty, and we've reached it. So for the immediate time being, only post halfway normal threads in there or they will be closed and you will be warned and suspended if you do it again. They've got to be able to contribute some sort of interesting content. This means no "The SIDS game!", no "What is your favorite shade of black?", no "Aglets: What the government doesn't want you to know oh god hi-larious mock conspiracy theory in here!", no shit.

What's allowed is misc. stuff that isn't stupid. Sorry that leaves things open to interpretation quite a bit, but it's hard to explain. Justice Potter Stewart said it best when he tried to define obscene material in 1964: "I know it when I see it."

And a spam forum can have rules when I say it can. It's actually not supposed to be spam anyway, the forum's just high postcount to low content ratio stuff. That doesn't mean go nuts. And the problem is it isn't funny, it's stupid and dull and I hate it. So... everyone stop.

If your going to put rules, you need to be detailed about it stupid shit is not enough. Have a pinned topic on Miscellany and put rules for those who dont know. I don't have a problem with dumb topics per se, I have a problem when it becomes a flood. Doesn't anyone remember when one staff member made a dumb poll about something, then another did, and then suddenly everyone had to make a dumb poll and it was annoying as hell so we banned dumb polls for a while?
