Futurama is back.

http://www.billywest...1685&PN=1&TPN=4

Billy West said:

"HERE'S GREAT NEWS!
Here's the official word on Futurama!!
David X. phoned me about an hour ago and said that this Futurama project
is a done deal! Here's the word from DX---
There are 4 DVD movies that we'll start recording at the end of July or
August.Full feature length FUTURAMA movies.
Everybody is excited to get back together--as I am!

Into the Future,
Billy"

It's too bad that the actual TV series is not being revived, but hey, four movies, that's pretty good. I can't wait.

Hey, that is good news. It is too bad that they aren't reviving the series, though.

Awesome! Four whole feature-length films... Man, with the budget they'd have to spend on those, they probably could have made an entire new season. Still, I'm actually glad the TV series isn't coming back. With the way The Simpsons has been slipping further and further into awfulness with each new episode, I don't want to see Futurama end up the same way. I'd rather the series remain a good memory instead of coming back as another crappy cartoon show we have to put up with.

I think Futurama still had a few good seasons left personally. It was a young show and the situation was much different from The Simpsons.

And actually, the only reason The Simpsons is still on the air is because it was and still is to an extent a ratings juggernaut, which, no matter how good it is, Futurama simply will never be. The Simpsons is actually a lot better this season than, say, the past three or four seasons. It started slipping when Groening stopped being so involved and Cohen moved to Futurama.

And I could get into why Futurama probably isn't coming back as a series and all this crap because I'm a big behind-the-scenes geek, but I think I should probably stop now before it gets away from me.

FUCK! YES! All I have to say. Fuck. Yes. One of my favorite comedies is coming back. Kickass!

Oh Bender, it's been awhile... Now someone needs to give Christopher Titus his fucking show back!

Actually it's literally not possible for me to be much faster or more on top of the news. There have been rumors of the series returning in some form for years. This is the first official word anywhere, which Billy West himself posted in his forums one and a half days prior to my post here, and he only found out an hour before he posted. Therefore, not possible to even know this before the afternoon of January 19th.

That's simply not possible. The star of the show only heard about it a couple days ago. They were rumors before. Just rumors. We had gotten our hopes up before. If you want to stand by your assertion, link me to the article. One of us is going to have to eat crow on this one.

Ever remember the episode where they became the "New Justice Team!" (I hope I got that right). Fry and Leela (I hope I spelled that right too) got super powers and Bender joined then because he's already super powerful. That was my favorite episode.

Captain Yesterday, Cloberella, and whatever Bener named himself were the best super hero trio ever!

Now that I think about this. Someone could mistake this for the opening song of Wicked where the munchkins celebrate the death of the Wicked Witch of the West.

Anyway, I've never really liked Futurama, but I understand the rumour basis. Expecially those Entertainment Weekly people.

And the other good news is that they're doing 26 new episodes of
''Futurama'' for TV and we're hammering out the deal now.The original
plan was to have the DVD's first but that's no longer the case.I'm totaly

Greetings from the year 3000! It still sucks!
