I just got it today, and I must say, I'm impressed. Though it's definitely not realistic at all, it's interesting, to say the least. It appeals to a very wide range of players, including me, because actual squad tactics can be used, and those who only know how to play CS/some other DM game can also utilize those skills to play as well.

I had a blast with some friends I know, we were moving tactically across the levels and clearing areas according to our firing arcs. That is, until two of us got run over by tanks and I got shot by a bird. =\ Then our last man went solo, and captured the point...or attempted to. Artillery is unforgiving, folks.

Anyone else have this game?

...So am I correct in assuming that no one else has bought this game?

I guess so... I've never had any interest in the game myself, but I would've thought it was popular enough that someone on here would have played it... Huh. Maybe people just hate you, sonictk.

I was an original player of Battlefield 1942 and the Battlefield 1918 mod, prior to the release of Battlefield 2. I wasn't too impressed, just a regurgitation of the desert combat mod for battlefield 1942.

Plus my pc could not handle the excessive RAM reserves the game's demo would digest; the sheer graphical delights of the game do not neccessarily represent fun.

Ah well...

Erm...it's nothing like DC. I've played both, and BF2 definitely wins in the fun factor. By a lot. Really. A LOT.

Ya :( Then again, maybe you people just play free games like GB and RS. :P
