Cult-hit animated shorts set to receive the videogame treatment...

Mondo Media, Signatures Network Inc. and Flashman Studios today announced an agreement to create videogames based on the cult-hit animated shorts, Happy Tree Friends.

Flashman Studios is currently seeking a publisher to bring the “unbelievably cute yet delightfully ultra-violent” brand to the consoles. Originating from 2000 as a series of animated shorts on the Internet, Happy Tree Friends has gone on to spawn everything from DVD’s to bedding, stationary and various other accessories. The series is shown across North America on the G4 network, while MTV International airs the show throughout Europe, Asia and Latin America.

John Evershed, the CEO of Mondo Media, said, “Happy Tree Friends® is one of the few entertainment licenses that has a truly global appeal. It's very visual, requiring little or no dialog and the outrageous humor is universal. We're looking forward to seeing what new unfortunate situations the Happy Tree Friends® find themselves in when they reach their first video game.”

Matt Hautau, the Vice President of Licensing and Marketing for Signatures Network, said, “To date there are over 25 licensees worldwide, working with the Happy Tree Friends® brand. It is an exciting property to be able to offer to the videogames market and we're very pleased to be working with Flashman Studios to bring Happy Tree Friends® to the interactive entertainment world.”

“We're very excited to be working with Mondo Media and Signatures to bring Happy Tree Friends® to the videogames market,” said, Brad Young, the Chief Executive Officer of Flashman Studios. “It's an almost perfect brand for videogames. The simple, cute and hugely appealing graphical style, combined with the very dark, clever humor and the cartoon violence provides a wonderful opportunity for the videogames market to tap into a huge global fan base.”

I see no future for this game.

Did you ideas include intense, cute furry cartoon animal violence and gore? That show isn't for the weak of heart you know, even if it is a cartoon.

No, It's about three evil guy's who want to take over the city of tokyo and create a satelite that could blow a contenent off the face of the earth. Never mind, the main character is a cute little bunny. Well anyways, the moon is actually an observatory to watch the humans and make sure they don't become extinct. The little things in the observatory are these fuzzy little alien bunny thingy's called moonies. They all have a pun name and they are ALL girls. Well, telnasia, the queen of the moonies decides to send out the youngest of them all to stop these three men from doing there bidding. So, being the youngest, mulwinny, is chosen to go. She is only 15. Then all this stuff happens and stuff. If you want to see the book, I might put it in your pm or something.

Cool. Send it to me. But I think you missed the point of my post, which is that violence makes money.
