I ask only becuase I found the Mega Man Anniversary collection on the street somwheres, and was wondering what everyone thought.
And you'll note the X series is noticably absent. That's because we won't be talking about the X series, or it's boytoy, Zero.

Definitely 2. 5 was fun, but you get a 1UP from every other guy, so it's way too easy. 3 and 4 were fun, but, eh. 1 is just too hard, I still can't beat Iceman's stage because of the whole jumping part crap, with the platforms that shoot bullets, and because of the glitch that you can't land on them while they're shooting the bullets. Oh, and 2 has the best music.
I'm just asking for trouble, aren't I?

Little to no arguement there. You failed to mention 6at all, however, but I'm going to assume there's a reason for that...

God I love the classic Mega Man games...
My favorite, unlike most, is 6. It had the best music, some of the coolest Robot Masters (and lotsa cool ones, as opposed to one or two cool ones), fun stages, damn I love Mega Man 6.
And fuck everyone who disses that game.
And I agree with Sel regarding Mega Man 1 and that god forsaken Ice Man stage.

Gotta say Mega Man 2 here as well. I love the music which I have all the levels on a cd along with the techno remixes lol, And I also love the robots in 2. Except for bubble man, he is deff. the catcher in that relationship. lmao

I've never played many Mega Man games, I probably should get Megaman Anthology, but I'm cheap so I will vote for Mega Man 3, because no one has said much about it, though I guess I could play it on my emulator.....

I'm assuming MM7 isn't old enough... Then I'd have to go with... 6. I'm not sure why, but it had beat in it, and I also believe thats the first megaman i've ever played(to the best of my recolection anyway)

Mega Man 2 all the way. My first Mega man game it is still dear to me. To this day when I see a boomerang, I flinch a litte (to hell with Quick Man).
The others were great, but I never really loved them like MM2.
