I'll make this one as short as possible:

Private Message spam! If you suspect someone of this, report them to myself or Sway (or both of us in fact!). PM spam is just as serious as email spamming, or general forum spamming. Also, sometimes you might get a PM from someone which may not seem too significant - for example, a message out of the blue telling you about another forum. But if you don't know the person who sent it, check when they registered. If it was sometime within the last two weeks, the chances are they've registered not to take part in the community but just to advertise their community, and might be messaging other members with the same thing.

So tell us about it and we'll investigate. Better to raise a false alarm than to tolerate spam/advertising and allow it to continue.

That will be all ;)

I'm sure you're already aware that miles54321 has been doing that.

Um, I roughtly translate that as "how do you define it?".

It's when people register at Sonic Online purely to PM all the members about another forum they can join. If you're friends with someone on the board, it's okay to talk about other places - we're not against that. But when someone registers and instantly messages all our members about another forum, that's just advertising/spam :)

The funny thing is, yes it would.
What is it that makes a complete stranger dive into an icy river to save a solid gold baby? Maybe we'll never know.

Sure, but they do it just to ensure they get everyone's attention.

If it is like the sonic stadium, all you need is a pm to fix it, so I'll give you one.

Do I report the spam here in this topic, or do I send a PM to a Sway and/or Requiem?

Evil will always triumph over Good, because Good Is Dumb.
