I'd like to see one done that way. I'm not completely sure if they tried this, but it would be a good movie, in my opinion.

IF it were done right, sure. Also, it would be a problem that Sonic games stories are pretty two dimensional.

Also, you posted this in the wrong forum, seeing as how this actually deals with sonic, so I'm moving it :P

I wouldn't care if it was 3D so long as it was good. If the script was all written, and it was very good, and the director had the choice to go 3D or 2D, I'd like to see 3D, I suppose. It just needs to be done right. Say Pixar were handling it -- it'd be practically guaranteed to be good.
What is it that makes a complete stranger dive into an icy river to save a solid gold baby? Maybe we'll never know.

A 3D Sonic movie would be cool, but I doubt it could ever live up to the greatness of Donkey Kong Country: Legend of the Crystal Coconut.

I hear ya. The concept of insanely strong guys in martial arts clothing and weird-looking secondary characters jumping all over the place, shooting energy blasts at each other and fighting enemy after enemy with only minimal plot to string things together sounds like total shit to me. *coughStreetFighter3cough*

3D, 2D, Live Action, all of that doesn't matter unless the story is good. Look at past movies based off videogames.

I don't want Sonic to suffer what Ryu did in "Street Fighter: The Movie" or Mario did in "The Super Mario Brothers Movie" (even though I like the part with the Bo-bomb).

Hey, the Mario Bros. movie was good, dammit. Nothing like the games, but that's what made it fun!
