I think you forgot to get rid of the white backgrounds...

Ok, when you drag that dotted lined box thing over the sprite or what ever you want, click on the box i have highlighted in the red circle.

Man.... you need some SERIOUS work on that comic... Some suggestions:

A: Use transparency colors, a common used one is R:255 B:255. Be sure to SET it to transparency though. Most games use white in the sprites, especially 16-bit sprites.
B: Don't make sit-coms, do something more off the wall.
C: look into graphical effects like cracks and whatnot... just don't do stray lines :P

Note: the sub-color must be selected in order for the transparency to work.

from what i know, paint doesn't use transparancy

but i know you can use this button
