Pop ups are a pain! Hey, I get these ones that always are in text boxes, and they pop up constantly... kind of like an alert that your computer will give you, but it's an add in a text box... is there a way to stop them? I need advice!
I'm just asking for trouble, aren't I?

Sonds like you have some spyware.
There is a great site called and.doxdesk.com. It's a really spectacular site. It has a sypwayre detection script and simple step-by-step instructions to remove each one. http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/
Download and run Adaware 6. If you can get Professional somehow, that's even better. http://www.lavasoftu...ftware/adaware/
And finally, I really love this last program; it prevents you from getting spyware before it starts. It's called SypwareBlaster. http://www.javacools...areblaster.html
Spybot Search & Destroy is also a nice program, but I don't use it. I haven't found a need. http://security.koll...n&page=download
Also, be sure to check your internet security settings and get them at a reasonable level. And keep the software updated!!

Yeah, adaware is great, I use it already, and I have also set my cookies on IE6 to high so that only a few sites can place cookies, plus you can edit which sites you let place cookies, for example I had to let this site place cookies.

I wholeheartedly recommend SpywareBlaster, too, you really should get it. I lovei t. It saves the work of getting rid of spyware in the first place because it doesn't allow any to be installed.
