I'd much rather we didn't have to go down the manual validation route. Make sure you all follow the steps I posted before asking for help in the forums. I don't see any reason why people wouldn't be getting these email.

Interesting random thought.

I don't think that's necessary. For one, our influx of new users has died down significantly. Also, I'm assuming the forum software chooses the "latest news" by last post date, not if it's pinned or not, so it would not matter.
