I'm back with more rules. B)

1) Do not PM staff for game tips or Action Replay (or other game enhancers) codes. Those things can be addressed in the public forums, not to mention that then people could get a much more varied responce, and not just one strategy that works for one person. Furthermore, PMing staff for private help with something, be it graphics, software, or finding information, is usually frowned upon.

2) Do not PM staff asking why they made a specific decision. As a staff, we make decisions for what we feel is the best for SOL. We don't mind discussion of policies and such, but that can be addressed on the public forums. Also, don't ask to become promoted to moderator. Don't call us, we'll call you.

3) No asking to close/reopen a thread or edit/delete a post, or anything of the like. That's what the "report" button is for... unless there is specific reason to, that is. It's a judgment call on your part, don't get it wrong. :P

I'd like to thank Selatein for his wording. :P
What is it that makes a complete stranger dive into an icy river to save a solid gold baby? Maybe we'll never know.

Yes, just to clear that up a bit. It's more of that I (nor any Admin or the other Mods) want to be bothered with Lots and lots of PMs dealing with general moderation with topics or individal posts. The Report button does exist for a reason, and it should be used. You can PM me or any one else, but please, please, PLEASE give a good reason for me (or anyone else) to do something to a thread or post. I don't care if it's blatantly obvious, something inappropriate, or someone's spamming porn sites. I want to not have to think. Why? Because I'm lazy. So, just say what it is. Also, links help, don't just send me a Topic Title in some Forum.

Okay, here's another Addition to the PM Policies, that applies to whomever you may message, not just Mods and Admins. Here we go:

PM Policy
4) Do not PM Spam. What's that mean? This means don't send a lot of messages out to everyone to get attention to whatever you may need/want. PM is an abbreviation for "Private Message." It's really only meant to be enjoyed by the people who it's meant for the author of hte message and the acceptor of the PM. PMs aren't to be sent out to everyone and their mother. If you want something for everyone to read, post it on the Public forums. There is a Forum for anything that you would need, and the Open Discussion forum is for anything that does not have a designated Forum for it.

I hereby allow revival of this thread for discussion, after the event of Flame the Hedgehog being banned.
