I'm sure everyone has heard the rumors of the battle between the SatAM Fans (That is, the Saturday morning Sonic the Hedgehog shows back in the early 90's.) and wanting the release of more episodes.

If not, or ya just didn't even know there were 5 episodes released back in Feb. 2002 and have been hiding under a rock this past year, here's the scoop...

DiC, appeasing to the fans of SatAM, released 4 episodes from the first season of Sonic the Hedgehog. These were four episodes that were previously released years before on VHS. You can still find the VHS tapes at places like Blockbuster. However, one extra was added in that you can 'unlock' by answering about 10 questions about the Sonic series. This was had never been released to the public. DiC did this release without the consent of a certain third party. We thought for awhile it was SEGA behind it all. Since that's what a rep from DiC told one of the fellow SatAMFans. Just recently, this was proved wrong. The president of DiC let it slip that it was Michael Eisner who told them to stop........ The Head Mouse of Disney productions. DISNEY of all places! now SatAM folks are really PISSED. Anyway, DiC IS releasing...*GASP* Sonic Underground on DVD sometime next year. The only way we'll be able to get more SatAM episodes is if the sales for SU go well...

Err... could you repeat that in a slightly easier-to-understand way? You lost me somewhere.

Eh... I don't know how much simpiler I can make that... Basically, there was a DVD released with some Sonic the Hedgehog Episodes. People wanted more, but DiC said they can't because of a third party company wouldn't allow them, because the first DVD was released without their consent. People thought for awhile it was SEGA who told DiC no, then it was just recently found out that it was really Disney who told DiC they couldn't release anymore SatAM episodes. Since when DiC released SatAM Sonic, DiC was owned by Disney at that time. Just a few years back, before the release of Sonic Underground, DiC bought themselves back.

Oh, I get it now. Sorry for the trouble. By the way, where are you going with this? I prefer Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog myself.

I have many sources... Sonichq.org had part of it, but it originated from SatamSonic.com.

That's really cool. I heard it's better than the other series, but I never saw this one.

I don't get why Disney would want to stop their cash flow...

Because Disney isn't getting full credit for it. DiC was the initial ones who created the stories and cartoons themselves. Disney just got the bit because DiC was working for them at the time. And now that DiC doesn't, Disney doesn't get credit.

Ever seen that hidden stuff in Disney animated movies?
What is it that makes a complete stranger dive into an icy river to save a solid gold baby? Maybe we'll never know.

Oh, like in The Rescuers, there was a photo of a topless woman that floated around for a few frames, too quick to notice in theaters. That's one example. Go here for a ton: http://www.snopes.co...films/films.asp

Most hidden stuff is pretty ambiguous.

So, it's kind of like how the seashells in the little mermaid looked like Male ganitals.

...only worse, because it was directly showing nudity (though I can't complain about seeing a topless woman... unless she was really, really, really ugly)

This time, Sway, it was your fault for taking this thread off topic. Hidden stuff Disney has put into their movies has nothing to do with them canceling the Sonic DVDs...

Don't blame Sway, he was programmed by disney to do so. Evil Companies tend to do that.
