Sonic Online is not dead. But it has been going through a period of greater quietness, that is certain.

We have in the past asked for your feedback, and this seems like a good time to do so again. After receiving no offers to run Sonic Online (Do you want to run Sonic Online?) it is destined to continue. But it would be great to see the place a little bit more lively again. So it comes down to this question: what do you want from the community?

We have considered steering it toward emulation in the past and being a shrine to all things classic. We have also talked about leaving things much as they are as a tribute to one a thriving community. We can add a front to the site and have articles, but it needs people to write them and to be active in those areas of the community. Marketing is important to success.

I'm open to all ideas. More or less. If have an idea, and can contribute your own talent to make that idea work I'm excited to hear it. If you just have an idea.... well, I'll still listen.

I'm afraid my talents don't lie so much in the realm of useful pursuits. I wouldn't mind writing an article or two, but can't devote a lot of time to it. Outside of that, I'm not really a good enough graphic designer to contribute in a major way like Sway, and I doubt my iPhone and Mac programming knowledge would really be all that useful. I'm still here if a moderator is needed though.

A community article like the one that brought me here might be a good idea. The only question is about what? Are we funny enough? If not, I don't think Sway would have time, maybe MoA? I don't know. It'd be fun to write one, I'm sure. Staying away from Alix Henriol would probably be better, even though a follow up on her could be some good material.

Yeah, I'd say that staying away from Alix and her brood. It's been a while, but even after all this time doing more would still seem like beating a dead horse to me, despite the insane activity it brought to the forums (not all of it good).

I know I'm sure as hell not funny enough, and Sway hasn't been around in a while, but I definitely agree that articles like that could bring some users in and generate a little bit of buzz.

We are always up for having more content writers! Although I haven't decided what kind of content we should be focusing on.

I'm not the least bit opposed to contributing toward another community article of some sort, but I personally don't have any ideas regarding what the article could be about. The Sonic fandom seems like it's always up to something crazy, I'm just not familiar with any especially outrageous projects the fans have been involved with recently. Any suggestions?
