- They shot a lot of the movie without a finished script.
- They only had Courtney Cox for a month, so they shot her scenes without really knowing what the endgame was.
- Courtney Cox and David Arquette split up during production, but they were so professional about it that Craven didn't even know until Cox left after she was done and Arquette stayed.
- The garage scene in the opening was filmed in 15 degree weather. Poor Aimee Teegarden.
- The opening was originally supposed to be some sort of book release party for Sidney where the killer would show up and kill everyone except Sid, who ends up shooting the killer. Cut to three years later.
- As many of you already know, the first complete draft of the script ended up being around 200 pages, but was later cut down. There is a lot of extra footage that we'll most likely end up seeing on the Blu-ray/DVD.
- Bob Weinstein didn't think Emma Roberts could do the job, so Emma Roberts auditioned over Skype and the video was sent to B. Weinstein and was impressed.
- Hayden Panettiere was also in the running to be Ghostface.
People also asked questions about other works of Craven such as Nightmare on Elm Street. Freddy was apparently very dear to his heart: he didn't want to watch the remake because it would hurt too much. He was sad that he sold the rights away, but he was broke at the time and decided to sell the rights.
Also, he said that about every two or three years, the great horror filmmakers get together for a Masters of Horror dinner at a secret location. Dario Argento even showed up one time. Sounds awesome!.
Note: Sinse I came from Gamefaqs I can go off-topic all I want and break rules without getting in trouble.
