Thats just stupid to like Predator, that only has 3 movies and Predators never win.

Star Wars is cooler because it has real characters not one timers like dutch and has an ongoing story.

Predator is a weak movie series anyway.

Who said he likes Predator? He was just commenting on how much you like Star Wars.

Anyways, the Predator series is no match for the original trilogy, but both the first and new Predator movies easily wipe the floor with the prequel trilogy.

Lets make a totem pole of quality:

The original trilogy had excellent characters and narrative, as well as intense action that invested the viewer. This would place them at the top of the totem pole.

Predator and Predators were just dumb, fun action. While it doesn't offer as fulfilling an experience, they were still worth the money you paid to watch them giving them this second spot on the totem pole.

The Prequel trilogy had neither a well written narrative, nor good action. They were pretty, but they had lots of quirks and felt very sterile and mass produced. They are occasionally hilarious to watch and find horrible inconsistencies, bad writing, and horrendous design decisions which gives them some credit.

The other Predator movies would be down here on this totem pole, because they weren't even funny from a "so bad it's hilarious" perspective like the prequel trilogy. They were just bad.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm missing some all important truth in the world. At that point I usually grab some chips and watch the people who have apparently found it tear each other apart in the super market over the now last bag of chips...

Hey NiGHTSJoke I'm gonna make you an utter joke on the gamefaqs star wars board for saying that.

The Prequel trilogy was great I give it 10/10.

You clearly have no eye for quality.

Also, there are only five movies in the history of forever that deserve a perfect ten:

Vertigo
Citizen Kane
It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad World
Big Trouble in Little China
aaaaaaaaaaaand Hot Fuzz.

The funny thing is, I don't think I'd rate those as my top five movies. They'd definitely all be in my top ten, or maybe twenty, but they're are other, less sharply written or innovative movies that I personally like better due to a number of factors.

Like Godzilla Final Wars, Blues Brothers, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. All of which are great movies, but none of which are perfect movies.

You don't like Big Trouble in Little China or Hot Fuzz? I absolutely love those movies. Especially Hot Fuzz, that movie is just so ridiculously sharply written with nearly every line and action being a joke or play on something.

Oh I loved them all right, but to say that they were perfect is a stretch.

I do believe he never said anything of the sort.

And if you're referring to me. I like Star Wars, I dislike stuff that sucks.

I like the original trilogy, and also the vast majority of material involving the Old Republic and Thrawn. Also, I did enjoy the animated Clone Wars miniseries and I like the Battlefront and SNES games.

However, I do not like all of the poorly constructed crap involved in the prequel trilogy. Bland characters, nonsense plots, poor writing, even poorer narrative, poor special effects (from a design standpoint), and holes in logic by the characters makes for a poor story and unfulfilling experience.

In case you weren't aware, even George Lucas himself thinks the entire ending sequence of Episode 1 is a mess, I just personally am much more critical. That entire movie is an utter mess, the characters have no motivation, and nothing anyone does has any sensible reason behind it. The other two are also pretty bad, and it's still hard to believe they came from the same director as the original trilogy.

However, I never said Star Wars was uncool, or even implied it. I still love the original trilogy, and would even tell, nay, insist for anyone that hasn't seen it and was put off by the prequel trilogy to check it out anyways.

You know, despite not being too hot, I do have to say that there were some genuinely awesome moments from the prequel trilogy. Like the fight involving Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn going against Darth Maul.

Saying something doesn't automatically make it true.

Barbary Apes are the most intelligent creatures on the planet.

I'm wearing black socks right now.

He just proved that three of those six movies are "utter jokes". I don't care for clone wars.
