Aren't they completely different games? How can you compare them?

Why are you comparing two games from completely different genres?

One's an adventure game with real-time, first person combat and a story told through the setting, and the other is an RPG with pseudo real-time, turn based combat with a story told through it's characters.

They really couldn't be different other than the fact that they both have space ships and aliens.

Lastly, while I do like KotoR, Prime is far and away the superior game. Nothing against KotoR, I really really enjoyed it, and played through it twice, but Prime is easily one of the best games on the Gamecube and probably in my top ten for the sixth generation.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm missing some all important truth in the world. At that point I usually grab some chips and watch the people who have apparently found it tear each other apart in the super market over the now last bag of chips...

What those other guys said.

Also, you are a very silly person. The Metroid fanboy in me wants to say something much worse, but I'm restraining myself.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is far better because it's not some stupid Halo rip off like metroid prime.

Oh nooby booby GG.

Bwahahahaha!

You think Metroid Prime is a Halo ripoff? First of all, Halo is a First Person Shooter, the shooting action is in the forefront. Metroid Prime is a First Person Adventure, the exploring, puzzle-solving, and platforming takes the forefront, the enemies are just another puzzle to solve by using the shooting elements.

Apart from the fact that one is a stage based game without RPG elements, and the other is based on semi-non linear progression through an interconnected world using an upgrade system to get to new areas, there's also the fact that Metroid as a series came out over a decade before Halo, and Metroid Prime in particular started development before Halo came out, or was even officially revealed.

Also, Knights of the Old Republic is literally the 20d Star Wars tabletop game thrown into a video game and given an original story. It may not be a stupid Halo ripoff, but it is a stupid Dungeons and Dragons ripoff.

Maybe you should actually be educated about what your arguing instead of repeating lines thrown out by trolls who were trying to incite a flame war.

It's obvious you've either never played Metroid Prime or Halo for more than five seconds or the fact that they're completely different genres would have made itself completely apparent to you. It's like your arguing that Ninja Gaiden is a ripoff of Zelda since they're both third person games where you swing around a sword, but one is an action game, and the other is an adventure game. Same deal with Halo and Prime.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm missing some all important truth in the world. At that point I usually grab some chips and watch the people who have apparently found it tear each other apart in the super market over the now last bag of chips...

I... hard... to not... go off on this guy...

Oh, wait. He's from GameFaqs. That explains a lot. Welp, I feel a lot better now.

You know, this just feels wrong, though. I feel like I should be the one telling him these things...

I could easily make you an utterjoke on the star wars gamefaqs board.

Besides Knights of the Old Republic is better then metroid prime in everyway.

Man, it's like you didn't even bother reading his post.

It's almost as if... you're just a troll. I mean, there's only so much stupidity I'd expect from your stereotypical GameFaqs poster. This is taking it too far. I was hoping to beat NN to any new points you made, since I feel an irrational obligation to do so, but screw that.

Oh golly gee, I'm going to be mocked by fanboys of KotoR, that are incapable of forming a valid and sound argument, because I think a game is superior to it? Oh I'm so scared. Now maybe if you were to convince the people on the Prime message boards that KotoR is the superior game you might have something, but with your logic, and inability to read I would assume that's impossible, especially if they act the same way.

In other news, who else noticed that Metroid Prime has better graphics and smoother controls than KotoR recently? Well, that throws the "better in every way" argument out the window right there. Not to mention there's subjective arguments like better pacing, better level design, better artistic design, better sound design, and more interesting locales, and it would be very difficult to argue that KotoR is better in all those categories, or even most of them.

Not to mention KotoR can be kind of glitchy sometimes, or at least significantly glitchier then the incredibly stable, low glitch, and absurdly well play tested games released by Nintendo. Did you know Mr. Miyamoto is actually a tad paranoid about glitches because of the classic "Infinite 1-UP" trick in the original SMB?

...Uh, is that supposed to be impressive? I used to post on GameFAQs way back in the day and I never got in trouble either. They really don't give a shit as long as you don't violate the ToS.

Actually, I have a youtube account as well, but I have not uploaded any videos because I've never felt like making any. If I did however, half of them would not be still images and pointless.

However, I am confused as to why you give me a link to your youtube account, seemingly gloating about it, and then tell me not to send you nasty pm's, which I had no intention of doing, because it puts "stress" on you.

Even if I did spam your account, and I will say if you thought I would then you are clearly more used to dealing with idiots than anything else, it's just comments on the internet, and you shouldn't get stressed out and butthurt over it.

Why'd you give it out as a warning though is my question.

I would never have gone looking for a youtube account when I can talk to you right here. Linking to it served no purpose whatsoever.

Okay, this is depressing. This Star Wars fanboy is the only person able to generate conversation.

This is reminding me of the old days, where all anyone seemed to want to do was tell certain moronic members how much and why they suck. Meanwhile, topics with a positive atmosphere died out...

Beats all that random humor shit we were generating at one point, though.
