The Movies of 2010

So I just finished watching Black Swan, and was going to post about it here when all of a sudden my superiority complex kicked in. I realized a topic just about Black Swan would utterly fail on this forum, so instead here's a topic about your favorite movies of 2010. This year had a slew of really incredible films, so it's difficult to narrow it down, but my top three would have to be:
1. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
2. True Grit
3. Black Swan
How about you?

Wow, shit, I think the only current movie I've seen this year is Inception. I liked it and such... Plan on seeing True Grit soon though.
And don't hold back talking about movies you like, Kvitne. I do have to admit, I haven't a clue what Black Swan is about.

Haha, same here.
That may seem like a lazy route to take for a post, but honestly Inception was the only movie I saw this year that I would bother recommending to anyone. I intended to see Toy Story 3 and Tron, but I never got around to it... Hopefully I'll get a chance to see True Grit, but I have a feeling that I won't be watching that one until it makes it to DVD/Blu-ray.

Is this restricted to just movies that came out in theaters? Because I kinda wanna list some DC and porno movies...
Seriously, though. I'm not joking about the DC movies, however. I haven't actually watched any movies released in 2010 last year, but there are a few that have caught my eye like the aforementioned DC movies, Inception, and Tron.

I have too much to say and not enough time to say it on movies, so I will just list my faves of the year:
Best: The Town, Inception, True Grit, Shutter Island, Get Him to the Greek, Due Date, Toy Story 3, The Social Network. Have not seen Black Swan, Scott Pilgrim, or Tron: Legacy yet, but I imagine at least Black Swan would be up here. The Town was probably my favorite picture this year.
Good: Iron Man 2, The Book of Eli, Youth in Revolt, Kick-Ass, MacGruber, The Expendables, The A-Team. Not worth seeing again really, but enjoyable.
Bad: My girlfriend made me see Valentine's Day, for Valentine's Day, and we didn't last more than a couple months after that. Also she didn't like the Cabernet Sauvignon I carefully picked so I got pretty drunk sometime the week after.
There was like no good indie stuff this year, what the hell? Also, it was technically a 2009 film, but The White Stripes: Under Great White Northern Lights was only released outside of festivals in 2010 and it was really good if you're a fan, but probably not too interesting if you're not.

What is it that makes a complete stranger dive into an icy river to save a solid gold baby? Maybe we'll never know.

Anyone else feel shamed to enjoy Scott Pilgrim like I did?
I enjoyed Deathly Hollows and Toy Story 3 quite a bit. Iron Man Deux and Expendables were decent. I haven't yet decided whether or not True Grit was great or good. I still need to see Inception.
EDIT: Red was the pretty hilarious too. Can't believe I forgot that one.

We’ve spent the last few days carrying on about the worst films of 2010 and the biggest disappointments in the hopes of healing our and your collective psyches from the damage sustained after watching inane movies like Jonah Hex or Furry Vengeance (*shudder*).
Now we turn our attention to the high points of 2010 – namely, the movies that met or exceeded our expectations and entertained us enough so as to earn a permanent spot on our personal favorites films list.
While a favorite movies list does not strictly correspond with a best movies list (case in point – flicks like Citizen Kane or The Seventh Seal aren’t traditionally considered proper choices for a fun Saturday night viewing), there’s certainly a good deal of crossover between the two. A number of this year’s critical darlings were not only aesthetically and technically proficient pieces of cinematic artistry, but made for an overall memorable two or so hours of entertainment as well.
