Why do people get worked up when people post in a "dead" topic? I know I used to get annoyed by it, only cause everyone else did so I kinda assumed reviving dead topics is bad, but what's really so bad about it?

By the way, I ask this because Scourge chewed me out for doing it, which I felt was unnecessary.

It's because if someone revives something we put to bed long ago for no good reason, it clutters things up or pushes more relevant topics down unnecessarily. You're totally allowed to post in an old topic if you have something to say, but if you just bumped 20 sprite comic topics saying "i like them," well, it's like you walked into our office, tipped over our filing cabinet, and left.
What is it that makes a complete stranger dive into an icy river to save a solid gold baby? Maybe we'll never know.
