Square-Enix official Trailer
I absolutely LOVE this game, and finding out that this game is coming to the Appstore was the last straw in my decision for buying an iPod Touch. The last I heard about a release date was a half-assed glance passing through a website that said December 31, 2010... nothin like waitin till the last minute, eh? Im a little worried about how the controls will be on a fully touchscreen device, but If they add special features to this port of SoM i'll still fangasm. Hell im just excited that theres finally gonna be a legitimate version of this game that will be fully portable.
It would be awesome to see an official English version of Seiken Densetsu 3, especially after the ominous foreshadowing and character relations made in it's prequel the latest Mana game, Heroes of Mana. I seriously doubt we'll ever see it though, since Koichi Ishii left. Lets hope the Mana fans get one last chance to celebrate the legend that started it all before Squenix lets Mana wither away and die.

I still don't understand the appeal of iPhone games that aren't Bejeweled or some tilt-the-phone-to-guide-the-marble-through-the-maze thing. I mean, Secret of Mana of all games...? That isn't exactly an ideal on-the-go title.
Hey kids, remember to drink your drugs, stay in milk, and don't do school!

"On-the-go"? Yeah, I agree to that, but for my specific situation it works out pretty good. I have a job where im stationary for painfully long and boring amounts of time and this would be a great way to play one of my favorite games. That and I think its great that Secret of Mana is finally getting a portable port. I think its ridiculous that there has been about 7 incarnations of the Gameboy that could possibly have ran SoM, but they havent yet ported it to a Nintendo portable? The fuck? We got Chrono Trigger DS, but not Secret of Mana DS? Maybe we'll see it on the 3DS, then ill rage for buying it on iTunes.

This is badass. Everything I could say has basically been said, so that's that for now. I'm gonna have to pick up FF 1 and 2, I somehow missed that those had come out.
At the risk of sounding like a total self-promoting whore, just wait until you guys get a load of the game that I worked on. It's coming out soon, hopefully this month. Called Astronut. There's a teaser page up currently: http://astronutapp.com.
It's definitely a portable title. Scourge you better buy it you asshole.
