First off, haha, yeah, the left and right controls getting reversed after speeding up or all of the controls getting switched around after changing the direction of gravity still screws me up after not playing for a bit. Out of everything in this game, you'd think I'd at least be used to changing directions at high speed by now.
Secondly, erm, too simple? Could you go into that a bit more?
If you're judging the game as too simple because of the first few stages, then I'll tell you the same thing I told some other guy who claimed that he'd be able to beat this 86 level game in only three hours:
The first stages are very simple and short like in many other level-by-level games. The game has you solving puzzles that only get much longer, deadlier, and more complex as the game goes on. Also, as the game goes on, more and more stage gimmicks are introduced and are often blended with eachother. A lot of the time, your reflexes will be put to the test as well. If you're aiming for secret exits and to collect coins, you will be forced to take alternate paths, many times of which are very specific and difficult, thus adding replay value to the stage. Then there are the leaderboards, if you want to compete with others for the fastest times.
You know what? Tell me which stages you were allowed to play in the demo. I'd check myself, but I already bought the game, so I'm only able to see the full game. Also which difficulty would you be playing on? Because, on hard, you're forced to complete stages in one go due to checkpoints being disabled. This isn't going to mean much on the first few stages, I know, but later, stages can become a nightmare.
