Well, I tried to buy the legal version off of Steam, and it told me my credit card info was declined by the credit card company. Well, that's kind of funny, because they had no problem taking my $9.99, did they? Nope. 10 Bucks isn't much, but imagine if this would have happened with somehing like Medal of Honor. I've called my card company, and everything is fine, my info was correct. They sad 9.99 was deducted, however. That's how I found out. It really pisses me off, because this is my first time actually buying from steam. Anyone who has experiance with Steam who could help me out, I'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks in advance. Click on the image below to see it better. That's exactly what it said.

Exactly what it told me.

Man, just contact Valve. Either they'll fix their error or they'll refund you and allow you to give it another shot.
What is it that makes a complete stranger dive into an icy river to save a solid gold baby? Maybe we'll never know.

I don't know if you've used Steam recently, but they don't get back to their paying customers. You'd think an actual paying customer would get a higher place in the line of other people than a guy with a lost forum password, but whatever. Their phone service isn't worth shit either. Guess I'm stuck with waiting 2-3 weeks for a damn refund or something.

Edit: Found out other people are having the same problem. http://forums.steamp...t=775099&page=6

Not just me, then. Watch out, anyone planning on buying from Steam.

I had this problem when I was trying to buy Psychonauts with my MasterCard gift card, except I don't think any money was taken from it.

Just recently, I was able to buy VVVVVV from Steam with no problems, though. I was using my debit card and not a credit card, however.

Huh, I've never had an issue with their support team. They've always gotten back to me pretty promptly.

It appears that one of the reasons people get these messages is Steam locking their account for no reason at all, and Steam just pulls that credit card excuse out of their ass to cover it up. Kvitne: What type of question did you ask, and when did they get back to you? Might be able to tell when they'll get back to me..

Nah, it's definitely Steam. They do it as a anti-fraud thing. I'm not too worried about it anymore, just gotta wait for a response from the support team now.
