It's not really that it's unbalanced, it's just that the game relies on countering. Not every champion is suitable for going up against other champions...that's why a balanced team comp on Skype will beat any unorganized randoms any day, or why people play Draft and not blind pick.

That's one of the bigger issues with game, in my opinion. Having not every champion available to you means that it's hard to effectively counter some champions, it's why some champs are floating between Op and Up with every patch because some have way too specific counters and absolutely dominate teams who don't have any proper counters.
