So, I just beat this yesterday, and was impressed. I can't think of a single point in this game where I was let down. Plenty of throwbacks and nods to the old Mario games. It's kind of sad that Sonic 4 won't be anywhere this good, because a 2-D sonic on par with this would be the shit.

Anywho, anyone else like it? I haven't tried it with multiple people yet, but it seems fun.

Temporarily traded Nick Desperate Struggle for this game. Completed it within 3 days. As in, collected every star coin. Very fun, although I felt it was missing something and I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it was the lack of the Blue Shell suit, which I felt was superior to the Penguin Suit. Then there were the lack of secret exits. I'm sure there was something else, though. Spinning by shaking the controller instead of just using B, which was unused, was just stupid, though.

Indeed, but I enjoyed taking off in the propeller hat without a runway. And, it's the Wii. You KNOW they have to work that stupid motion sensor in there somehow. Haven't gotten all the Star Coins, but now that i know there's a whole secret level based off of Star Coin grabbage, I may knock back a few and attempt to get some of them.

And by "nick Desperate Struggle', do you mean NICKELODEON Desperate Struggle? Because if you do, good show.

Actually, it's not just one level, but 8 of them. Each level in World 9 is unlocked by collecting each star coin in the respective world. I got every coin outside of World 9 before beating the game. What bugs me about World 9 is that each level has star coins in them as well, but you don't unlock anything extra for collecting everyone of those as well, as far as I know. I mean, the DS game had a mode in it that allowed you to play it like the original SMB by making it impossible for the screen to scroll backward. Who knows, maybe there is something like that in this game. It apparently took people months to discover the mode in the DS game.

Also, dude, forgot about nick_phizz? Have you two actually ever talked?

Nick who?

And yes, by 'level' I meant 'World', which is the collective term for a bunch of levels.

I did not play nor beat this game, but my English teacher last year did. ... She enjoyed it, apparently. Just thought I'd fill you guys in on that.

By the way, did any of you look at every Super Skills video in the castle and despise the people playing simply because they were more than likely much better than you even though you had a lot of fun watching them?

This is my favorite one:

The way Luigi gets his revenge always cracked me up.

As DairunCates, the creator (and abandoner) of How to Brawl like a Man, put it:

You sure this shouldn't be retitled "Super Mario Super Skills- Asshole Gamers Edition"? Seriously. How many times did they sacrifice Luigi for a random jump off?
