The gameplay also leaves little to be desired. Although it's obviously the same old hack n' slash, Nintendo has mixed it up with the added mechanic of having to alternating your vertical/horizontal strokes to defeat enemies. 2 new items have made an appearance as well. The whip seems to be something similar to that grapple hook thing that was in Wind Waker, but probably easier to use and can kill some enemies. Then there is some strange bug that you control which flies around to pick things up.
Unfortunately, absolutely nothing has been seen story-wise. The trailer was completely devoid of npcs or otherwise, and the usual suspects haven't been mentioned either. Although, there seems to be no gimmicks of any sort. That hasn't happened since before the 3d era, although not enough has been said and we still don't know what that she-thing was in the concept art. And, is anyone else getting tired of the master sword? The same old shield every time? A customizable shield wouldn't be a horrible idea, or would the retract too much from the story? One other thing, although Link seems to be right-handed for once, there is probably an option to switch that for left-handed wiimote users. So really Link would be ambidextrous, maybe he always was and just preferred using his left hand.
However, I really hope they make this a challenge, I practically ran full-tilt through TP, it was still a fun game but I don't really pride myself for beating it.
I do have a little hope though, being as I saw a rather interesting mechanic/puzzle in the trailer, where Link had to move his sword in circles to 'kill' an eye that was blocking a door.

I'm hoping for a return of OoT Ganondorf/Ganon.

I got nothing wrong with the Master Sword, every Zelda game that doesn't have the Master Sword except 2 and Four Swords still has sword upgrades that basically amount to the same thing. It's just that going through an hour long sub-quest to get a better weapon feels more rewarding than going through one for one little piece of heart.

Uh, dude, unlike Zelda and Link, Ganondorf has been the same person throughout the Zelda series.

Then let me rephrase it so you don't misunderstand.
I want the return of the kick-ass version of Ganon.

Also, I still thought Ganondorf in Wind Waker was cooler than his beast form in OoT. Hell, his Twilight Princess Beast form was also cooler, IMHO.

You mean the thing that just sort of sat there and waddled around because they never finished the coding for him?
Personally, I would love it if they took the original idea for the OoT Ganon form and did a Shadow of the Colossus style battle with a super giant boar form.

Never said anything about how easy it was. I'm talking about the character and environment, combined with the music. I have yet to feel that level of epic in another game.
And I agree with the battle idea.
