Re-makes and Sequals

Also, in the vein of Megaman 9 I wants a new Ninja Gaiden. It doesn't have to be 8-bit, but I want to use Ryu with the old style in a new adventure.
Oh, and I would like to see another entry in the Botkai series. So you keep Metal Gear Solid drowning in the pit of filth it dug itself into in 3 trying to camouflage itself from pursuers, but you don't keep one of the most original and fun takes on vampire games that rivals your other big vamp series? What the hell Konami? Why'd you ditch the games after Lunar Knights? Were they not selling enough? Maybe if you actually advertised for the games a little that wouldn't have happened. I'm not talking about the magazine ads only in gaming magazines. You should have gotten some TV commercials out there dammit.

I'd also like to see a Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure sequel on both the DS and Wii and I'd like for them to be different, but to both have online features. If I could only have one, I'd like for the Wii to get the game. Obviously, on the Wii, multiplayer would be possible via DSes. To be honest, I think it'd beat New Super Mario Bros. Wii in terms of co-op gameplay.
I've been saying this for quite a while now, but I'd definitely want to see a sequel to Metroid Fusion. All of the new Metroid games made after Fusion have been great, but I definitely wanna see what happens to Samus after she decided to disobey the Galactic Federation and I'd like to see how becoming part Metroid has affected her life. Being the last known living Metroid would mean that both the Galactic Federation and what's left of the Space Pirates would have a great interest in her outside of the fact that she's screwed them over. One more thing, though: I liked the story bits in Fusion and Corruption, but I'd definitely like to see the gameplay return to the less linear style of Super Metroid and Metroid Prime. It's ironic that I say that since Echoes in my favorite Metroid game, but even Echoes wasn't as nonlinear as those two games.
Speaking of stories that need to be told, although I doubt it'd have the Metroidvanian style gameplay the newer games have, there should definitely be a Castlevania devoted to Julius Belmont. I wouldn't mind if there was a level by level playthrough so long as they provided an alternate mode that allowed you to travel through the castle (and possibly world like in Ecclesia) and play the game in the same manner as the main game in the more recent Castlevania games. It'd be a reversal of what the newer games have been, except for the fact that the main game would be level by level.
That's all I can think of right now. I'll post more if anything else comes to mind.

But wait. Instead of a ton of useless extras, they're going to package in a Level Editor for all the games. Make individual levels or level packs and upload them over whatever net service for the system they have, and make it so all the level packs go to the same Sega server so it doesn't matter which system you post it on, it can be downloaded from any of them. Since all the levels are in one place, and the level editors are professionally made and pre-included it will be much more convenient and easy for the average consumer. It's LBP on Soniroids.

Phantom Dust needs a sequel. The update to the game was nice and all, but I want to see everything updated, not just skills.

With Sonic Classic Collection being out for the DS, although with no Sonic CD, which doesn't bother me much, and possibly no ability to lock onto the the first game to unlock Blue Sphere, I'd have no reason to purchase a new console compilation. I know it's ironic for somebody who has the PSP version of LittleBigPlanet to be saying something like this, but, based my personal experience with ROM hacks (and not just the ones of Super Mario World), I've come to the conclusion that most gamers suck ass at level design because they cannot differentiate "hard" and "fun" (and, in a lot of cases, "hard" and "fake difficulty") and/or lack any creativity whatsoever. Although there are a few people who don't have either of those flaws, there are still many of those who don't get others to playtest their levels to make sure that somebody who hasn't seen it before can play through it to the finish, though, I'll admit that not everybody needs to do that and the stages are usually fun to an extent if they did. Along with that, LBP has very different gameplay than the old Sonic games and, IMHO, Sonic levels would be much harder to design and LBP would very likely allow for much more creativity than a classic series' Sonic level designer, which I feel would have even less features than programs ROM hackers that don't do any actual programming would use.
I'd much rather have a new console 2D Sonic game that possibly plays well than yet another console compilation game with the only new thing being a level builder that most people will likely use horribly.

With Other M, being a more story based Metroid game, I could see this happening in the near future.
Donkey Kong, either a new 2D game or 3D, why Nintendo stopped making these I have no idea.
Konkers Bad Fur Day, or really anything like it. It was a great adventure game, hilarious story, and always had you doing something new.
Also what the hell happened to Rayman? Rabbids was fun, but was stretched out way too long, was four games really necessary? Time for Ubisoft to go back to the original series and deliver.
Cold Shadow, great game by SEGA that went nowhere after it's first release. The concept was cool and I wanted to see more.

Oh! I'd definitely love to see a Donkey Kong Country 4 (at least in spirit if Nintendo or whoever would make it would be unable/unwilling to use that name), except with Donkey, Diddy, and Dixie (Kiddy is just a DK clone and shouldn't exist.) instead of just two of the characters, though I'd still want the gameplay only allow for two to be usable at a time. There were already instances in the trilogy where not having a certain Kong present could prevent you from taking certain passages. As long as whoever develops the game doesn't go overboard and starts making unwinnable situations. Along with a few new actions for the characters, I'd also like to see Donkey get Kiddy's ability to bounce off of water if timed right if he didn't have it already.

My jaw would drop at the sight of a properly-done Donkey Kong Country 4 with no bongos, evil Kongs, or any of that silliness, but it's a shame a good DK game is too much to expect from Nintendo ever since Microsoft bought Rare. But that's another story I guess. Also, Billy Hatcher has popped up in numerous cameo titles, but has only been in one (very basic) game. It's just begging for a sequel. Come on, Sonic Team!

Inafune-san: One of the biggest reasons for going with the 8bit style was the success with Mega Man 9. MM 9 succeeded beyond our wildest expectation. We had initially thought of bringing back to the series the feel of the NES to create a sense of nostalgia with MM9. Receiving the great reaction from the fans over it, we decided to establish the style as the game genre for Mega Man. In line with this concept, reviving the 16 bit game style in the series seems like a great idea. We certainly would like to consider trying it out in future when there’s a chance.

Unlike the classic series' Mega Man, though, I'd love for X to not be stripped of all abilities like Mega Man, however, I'd be happy and glad if they only gave X back the best of his abilities from the first three X games (pretty much everything from X3 and the Giga Attack from X2 or something similar). I'd also love to see Zero (playing like he did in the MMZ games, if possible), Vile, and Axl all be playable characters and for Vile's final bosses to be Sigma (Yes, I know he died for real at the end of X8, but this guy keeps finding ways to somehow come back), Axl, Zero , and then X, in that order.
Edit:
I'd also like to see somebody outside of X get capsule enhancements outside of armor that provides offensive and defensive increases. Zero got a couple abilities from bosses, however, those were just the double jump in X5 and X6 and this high jump that allowed him to cling to the ceiling and attack from above like X in his Shadow Armor. Vile, being evil, likely wouldn't get any abilities from Light's capsules, however, he could get some abilities from bosses. If I'm not mistaken, in MHX, he got 3 new attacks per boss, so maybe he could sacrifice one of those for a movement or armor enhancement or, preferably, get 3 new attacking abilities and armor enhancements.
Lastly, since this is a new game, I'd like for there to be branching pathways that only certain characters can get through to increase the replay value.
Edit 2:
Oh, and give Vile a dash. I mean, damn, I'm watching a video of somebody playing with him right now and a dash looks like it'd make things better. Plus, if they really wanted to be creative, they could alter Vile's attacks while dashing.

Kirby 64. I would love another 3D Kirby, the power combining was really fun. What I would like to see though, would be a better combo system, llike the 2D iterations.

I'd also like to see a New Super Mario World Wii if possible. NSMBW is cool and all, but SMW always had the best feel and controls for me. I miss the cape and the triangle blocks and secret exits with keys. I miss Chargin' Chuck, and I miss goalposts. There are endless ROM hacks of course, but I'd like to see a NSMBW style remake. It doesn't need aggravating multiplayer co-op.

I, being a much bigger fan of Super Mario Bros. 3, would love to see a NSMBW style sequel that plays like it. I hear that NSMBW brings back a lot of memories of SMB3 and SMW, but I'd love to see a game that has mostly elements from SMB3.
Hey, since you brought up hacking, here's something interesting I just found out about: New Super Mario Bros. Wii Level Editor

Aside from the occasional Boo's Mansion or Yoshi level it really is a sequel to Mario 3.

Didn't notice this comment until now, but yes, I wholeheartedly agree with this. While it's nice to see Nintendo going back to their earlier successes gameplay-wise, the controls for the original SMB have not aged nearly as well as a lot of people would like to believe. SMW remains one of the best 2D platformers of all time because its gameplay still holds up remarkably well even two decades after its release.
