I personally would be absolutely thrilled if this is true. I don't really know what else to say right now. I don't want Nolan to stretch himself too thin, but the very idea of him guiding the Superman franchise sounds incredible.
I don't really think Superman Returns was a bad movie, and I actually think Brandon Routh was quite a good match for the part, but this is really exciting.

I really, really dig it. That is, if it is true. Superman Needs some justice done in the modern superhero movie era.
Again, like the others, I don't believe Superman Returns was horrible, but I mean really, Superman is supposed to be like, erm, the best superhero or some shit... Shouldn't he get a damn good movie?

The first Superman movie was good, dude. But yes, Superman does need a good reboot. Maybe they should take their cues from the comic books, though.

If he can make it be as awesome as The Dark Knight, then hell yeah to that idea.
I know this'd be really hard to do given the natures of the most recent movies, but I'd really like to see a movie with both Batman and Superman as the protagonists...
That reminds me, I need get that DCAU movie that did just that.

yeah I had heard about this as well. All I have to Say about it is this: "Please No Refs to the Richard Donner Movies!" I'm not saying they're bad... well ok 3 and 4 are REAL BAD... But Superman 1 & 2 the Donner Cut are great... However That is deffinatly Golden Age Superman. I want Modern Superman, Not that Earth 2 styled one. AND Please give him someone he can Punch!

How's Golden Age Superman really different than Modern Supes? Both embody the optimism that no matter how bad things get, there's always a little bit of hope left somewhere. I don't care if it's Silver Age Superman, as long as the story is good and they remember what Supes really is: A Superhero. Like Rugdog said; let him kick a little ass, for our sake.
