Just doing a quick poll on interest, but I was thinking of starting up a Comic Book Club, where each week we'd read a series of comics, whether it be a short-run series or a story arc from an ongoing series, and then discuss the plot, characters, etc. Of course I realize that not everyone's going to go out and buy or find comics for the sole purpose of this topic, so I would be "providing" the comics to those who want in and send me an email address.

Of course, in addition to this, I wouldn't be so presumptuous as to pick the comic we're reading each week, so we'd also have suggestions and polls on what we might want to read a certain week.

I feel a topic like this could generate some discussion and interest on the forums, while introducing the other forum members to each of our favorite comics and stories. Let me know if you guys are interested.

I'd join, considering I have over 36 comic book collections on this thing. Currently on the Authority, at the moment, intercut with some of Question and JSA.

I'd start it up sometime around Wednesday of this coming week, with discussions starting on Friday. I'd like to set the first series we read, Kick-Ass, which only currently has around 6-8 issues. If you guys are down I'm game to do it. I hope some other people show interest as well.

I'll be needing to collect email addresses by Wednesday though, so whoever wants in PM me their email address so I can get them the comic.

I would too, but getting my hands on the comic books would be impossible for me at the moment. Maybe sometime down the road if I remember.

Yeah, that's no problem. I can definitely be the distributor here. I'll create a mailing list for those who want in. Those people will be getting an email every time we read a series containing the *ahem* resources they need.

I would also propose that we read V for Vendetta at some point. I've been wanting to read it for a while now, but have never really gotten around to it.

First things first though, we start off with the first six issues of Kick Ass. For this to pan out though I'm going to need more than one email address before Wednesday.

Is manga also allowed? The only reason I ask is because I want to plug Pluto, which I just finished reading, because it was fantastic. ... Of course, I've already read it, but I would be more than willing to go over it again if we were to ever use it with you guys. ... And in case you haven't already figured it out, I guess I'm game for this too.

Dude!! Add me to the club. I am a DC kinda person. I get a whole bunch of those every month so I can keep everyone up to date. I don't just pick up the "Event" ones .. I pick up a lot of other stuff too.

Awesome. I'll be sending out those six issues of Kick Ass later today, just to give Tragedy a chance in case he wants to get his email address in there as well. So far our list of participants includes:

If Tragedy doesn't contact me today with an address to send the comics off to he can jump in at any point. This isn't a "whoops you missed it!" sort of thing, anyone who wants in at any time just needs to let me know and I can send them what we're currently reading. I'll probably send out this week's email at around 1 today.
