It's that time of year again. Like SAGE, NCFC is a yearly thing and usually occurs a few months after SAGE, if I'm not mistaken. Some games appear in both conventions.

So, uh.... Here's the website, which is being hosted at a different URL this year. The website's been up for a a while now, but the actual convention didn't begin until just Monday, which was, ironically, the day that I got the sudden urge to go see if it had begun yet. Outside of the new trailer for AM2R, that HD remake of the first Metroid Prime, and what little I read for the Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario RPG based fan games, I know very little about any of these projects, save for AM2R, which I've been keeping up with via Google Reader.

With the forums practically dead outside of the shout box, and more importantly, the fact that I'm waiting for a video to finish recording, I thought it'd be a good idea to inform any who'd be interested.

As of now, Another Metroid 2 Remake is the game I'm most excited about. I really hope that the creator doesn't listen to the other fans' request for a demo under the flawed logic that giving us a demo would please us and give him more time to continue working on the game as if the same amount of time that could've been spent making the demo couldn't be used to actually work on the game.

I'm not trying to be a pessimist, but, while the high definition Prime remake sounds like a cool idea, I have very little hopes for its completion and, even if it does get done, I doubt that it'd add any new content.

By the way, does anyone know of what happened to Metroid SR388? The guys working on it keep going offline for extended periods and they promised a demo almost a year ago. There seems to be no trace of them online anymore and they've been gone longer than usual.

I really need to hurry up and review all of these games before it's too late, but my video's finished recording, so I'm choosing to go back to the game I was playing for now.

First off, fuck you for getting my hopes up.

Second, that thing equates to a shout box around these parts.
