In the description, it says that if there are unauthorized modifications to the Wii, it will find and remove them. I'd like to know if this means I can unhack my Wii without risk of bricking it.

There has already been an update to most Wii hacks anyway.

What did that have to do with his question? He was asking about whether the update would remove the hacks or brick his Wii not updating the hacks.

Every update for the Wii says that it'll do that. Sadly, never having hacked my Wii, I can't say. To be on the safe side, have you tried searching for an alternative way to unhack your Wii? I know the answer to that question should be an obvious one, but there's always a chance that I could be wrong.

Unfortunately, I don't really get the chances to find a way to unhack it. I never have enough time to really search. It's also not really the fact that I want to unhack it, I also want to be able to update regularly like it was never hacked in the first place. In its current state, I can't access the Wii Shop channel anymore, so I can't download anything like the free Internet Channel, nor download VC games, which is a huge problem for me.

It will probably brick, I heard that some updated fine (losing the hacks on their consoles of course), but those are few. I have also heard that even non hacked Wiis have bricked. The new update tampers with the code that deals with start up procedures.

I suggest you not update till the situation has been rectified or go here.

I don't want to modify or fuck around with my Wii anymore. I regret hacking it in the first place, and I want to fix it.

Well normally updating to new firmware will do that for you, but as I said this new firmware fucks your shit up.

So there's currently no way to fix my Wii?
