For 26 new episodes, the final act. First one was aired on Saturday, I think. Only just heard about it and figured I'd share for anyone who was a fan of the series. It seems the new 26 eps isn't being very well talked about/publicised.

Isn't the manga over 50 volumes? I'd say that's much longer than what's been showed so far, especially since much of the anime is apparently filler, from what I heard. Plus, it's kinda easy to tell when something is filler in that show for some reason.
If I were you guys, I wouldn't make too many jokes about it being never ending, though. Detective Conan/Cased Closed has over 65 volumes and 553 episodes and it's still going. I was planning on getting into the show again or reading the manga since Adult Swim chose not to air the show anymore, probably for the same reason I chose not to read/watch it: It's just way too fucking long.
As for the 26 new episodes, I noticed that you called it "the final act". Before I noticed that, I was beginning to wonder if they were animating it again because the managa finally came to a stopping point. Now I'm wondering if it's trying to give the anime a proper conclusion since the one they ended the anime with sucked.
Wait, these are a continuation same anime, right? They're not doing this as a part of something completely new, are they?

Yeah, it's a continuation of the original Inuyasha anime. They're skipping quite a lot of plot from where the anime previously left off, though; they're jumping ahead to the last couple of story arcs from the manga so that the anime can get a "proper" conclusion.
