Ability/item 1:Firebulleta
Nova can shoot firery projectiles from his palms. He can also charge one for a kick or punch(uses up 20 heat) Until he runs out of Heat.
Ability/item 2:Heat
This is Nova's Energy or just his body heat, he uses it up with every attack.
it takes 3 post's for Nova to regain heat. He can also be near something hot or in hot weather to regain heat. He has 100 heatpoints, firebulleta uses up 10 per shot.
Second:Heat up
Ability/item 1:Steam
Nova envelops himself in steam. When he takes this form and releases his energy from punches and kicks as steam bursts. This uses up 50 heat.
Ability/item 2:Fire sheild
This shield nova uses to block attacks but it only lasts 2 posts, He uses 80 of his heatpoints with this shield. A heavy attack can destroy it also ice attacks destroy it.
Third:Fighter
Ability/item 1:Rapid movement
Nova can move over 90 miles per hour if he wants to but he goes at 70 miles per hour.
either way his attacks are more devastating when he uses his speed. His limit on his speed is that it cools him down, the faster he goes, so if he goes 90mph his heat attacks will be less damaging than 70mph. Heres some numbers he loses 40 heat using this at half power and loses all of it at 90mph or full power.
Ability/item 2:Street fighting
Nova is more of a person who fights using Misdirection and multiple attacks. This helps him confuse an opponent for easier attacking for a defensive opponent. But on some opponents he fights fair and square, depending on his attitude toward them. No Heat needed.
Role Playing
Back-story:Nova was born in a long line of volocano dwellers. Nova as a child,
began to show signs that he was a pyrokinetic. As he grew older his brother helped him master
his powers until he left to go some . Nova spent most of his years in Mt. Firi, that
is until a wolf showed up. He was running from 3 gang members and Nova decided to help.
After he beats them up he asks for the wolf's name. He says his name is Myst. And
they have been best friends ever since. Soon Myst took Nova to Metro town, there they met
Jules. She was being mugged when Nova went to help her. Myst, Nova, and Jules decide
they should find the source of the Cutters(the gang ), Nova plays along but he
gives their group a name.
He calls the group The Hotshots and with that they search for the gang terrozing
the cities in their area.
Example Post:Nova and Jules were running after a thief who had stolen one of Myst's Inventions.
The thief runs into a building and when Jules and Nova enter the building a gang is waiting for them.
Nova takes care of the gang and runs after the thief. Nova catches the thief and finds out that its a
kid! Jules comes to check on Nova and is confused by the new development.
The kid tells Nova "The Cutters forced me to do this..they have my parents."
Nova agrees to rescue his mom and dad. The kid says to Nova
"Hey, Mister my name is John."
Nova tells John "My name is Nova and Stop with the mister."
Jules says to the two "Hey! I know a shortcut through the woods!"
The group heads toward the forest unsure what's in store for them.

Not a bad shot.

You're going to want to give the Heat skill some kind of units and have the other skills use up some specific amount. Vague descriptions lead to God Modding, and lets your character do things way past their limit through pathetic reasons like determination.

Maybe say that he his amount of body heat can be divided into ten even units. Then maybe Firebulleta uses 3, Fire Shield uses 7, ect. You'd also want to put in his way to regenerate heat. Does he get maybe 1 unit back every other post, and more if he's under the sun or some other source of heat? This is all just an example though, you don't have to use it specifically, of course.

Also, with Fire Shield, you'd want to put it in terms of posts, not minutes. Even though posts have indefinite periods of time between them it just makes it easier. Also, give us an idea of how much it takes to break it. 1 otherwise heavy attack? Maybe 1 heavy and 1 light, or two Mediums?

For the speed, we don't generally have our characters move that fast without some kind of cost to maintain it. I'm going to quote myself here.

Street fighting is going to need some kind of explanation. Exact values aren't necessary for a fighting style, just explain that the strange and sometimes dirty moves give his basic attacks better accuracy or something. Nothing too elaborate is necessary.

Finally, just a style approach to point out in your example post. Your writing everything in the wrong tense. Instead of "Nova and Jules run after a thief who stole one of Myst's Inventions." Use "Nova and Jules were running after a thief who had stolen one of Myst's Inventions." I know traditional RPing is in present tense, but it also is in first person, it's written out more like a story on here.

Also, you're going to want to actually write what the kid said, with quotation marks and everything, don't just tell us that he said something, show us.
