What do you guys think about this? I think this could open great potential, or fail hard.

Should be interesting. I imagine we won't see that big a difference. Maybe a lot more Disney ads in the next ish of Spider-Man, but that's about it.

Pretty much this. It'll be similar to their ownership of Pixar; mostly hands-off.

Somebody brought up the possibility of Marvel-themed worlds showing up in the next Kingdom Hearts game; a concept I can't decide if I'd really like to see become a reality or not. Actually, I'm leaning more toward no, now that I think about it... Otherwise, agreed, I seriously doubt much will change for either company with the exception of where the bulk of the paychecks go.

You're fucking kidding me.

We all know Disney is going to rape this strait up the ass just like it tried to do with Nightmare Before Christmas. (Thankfully Burton fought hard to keep the whole thing as pure as possible and saved the day with his genius.)

Disney will murder marvel. What is the last good thing to ever come out of Disney? ... exactly.

Well let's go to what was released in 2000
Finding Nemo
Pirates of the Caribbean series
National Treasure
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Up
WALL-E

Well, that was easy.

Besides, what makes you think Disney will put their hands on what marvel makes? They also own ESPN and pretty much let them do what they want with little oversight. I think this will be great since Marvel has been in and out of bankruptcy three times since the 90s. having Disney take over will make sure that never happens again, and will allow releases of more series.

So there is your exactly.

I completely agree with everything Rugdog and KenneH have said. That's pretty much all I got on the subject.
