Now that MvC2 is out for the PS3, I no longer have any need for my Dreamcast, or my old Dreamcast stuff.

And it's a fair amount of stuff!

2 Dreamcast systems
1 Internet browsing disc
2 Official Dreamcast controller. (One grey, one translucent blue)
3 Interact Quantum Fighter Pads
A pelican Accessories Dream shock pad (With a nice smooth D-pad)
6 Sega VMUs
1 Sega Rumble pack, 2 Performance rumble packs, and a Mad Catz rumble pack.
A Sega Fishing pole controller.
A Dreamcast fight stick.

Now, all this stuff is working (OR was last time I checked), and I'm half tempted to retire it with a shotgun. But I had a lot of good years on my Dreamcast, (Despite the incessant whining of it's CD drive) and it deserves better than that. So, if anyone can provide a good home for an old, tired video game system, It'd be much appreciated.

Or, if you're just looking for for another VMU, controller, or such-not, I understand.

I've a few games left for the old bird. Most got replaced on newer systems/broken over the years.

Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense
Street Fighter 3: Double Impact
Marvel vs Capcom 1
Marvel vs Capcom 2

Mind you, these are all the ones that are actual Dreamcast games, and not burns. All in playable condition.

Now, this won't cost a thing, because it's all pretty old, but again, this is a trophy system. you put it on the entertainment center and show it off to friends. No one really wants to play Dreamcast anymore. This is about bragging rights, son!

So, if you want to win Sega's last system that was too-before it's time, you write an essay. Any essay. On anything. But grammar and sentence structure counts.

Best essay gets first dibs on the booty, second essay gets next pick, etc etc etc until I have none left, or I just shoot it all anyway.

Do they have to be essays? Can they be short stories or something, essays are kind of boring to write.

After further thought, yes. Short stories and what not are totally fine. They can be anything that doesn't involve video or sound.

Got a Game Gear, a Genesis (was my best friend's when I was little), my cousin had a Master System, and I have a Saturn, but never owned a Dreamcast. Both a different cousin and friend of mine had them a while back, but I've never owned one unfortunately.

Next Gen or Retro gaming..

Dreamcast versus next gen.. surely many people nowadays think that slapping a good visuals or remaking a game into a new and powerful platform doesn't mean that it will always sell. Giving platform a boost on functionality sometimes gives a weird feeling. From my point of view and from the guys who love and support sega, i patronize retro gaming and having chance to be born and live to see sega built a machine as good as the dreamcast, i also loved sonic and with this team up gives a memorable sense of companionship(think of you having fun playing games that was built for fun) that will last a lifetime. Peolple who doesnt know sega or loved it think that it is waste of time giving this system a chance in your tv. Due to console wars people doesnt know the value of an age were are fathers probably played there first super mario level cleared, slashing some monsters in zeld, or completing all the rings in sonic. People are so into next gen that they even throw away there respect for there fellow gamers specially in luch were people kill each other or scamming young kids at ebay just to earn that. Next gen gives people options in gaming but also in how they treat at respect other people. Next gen people are so nasty compared to retro gamers. Ive seen things happen like when people play halo.. they usually swear man that's bad and majority of this gamers are kids.. well people of retro though old respect other people, they even organize parties like the one in athens.. hope that in this blog people change the way they act because if next gen is like this.. the future of gaming is not clear.. more power to the dreamcast and to bitmob and to the lost EGM crew.. love u guys..

First, not only are you a month late, but since it's an essay question, you have to write your answer in the form of an essay. Punctuation, page breaks, that sort of thing. Also, any essay with 'Next Gen vs Old School' (Which I kinda feel the topic of your, uh, 'essay' was)that DOESN'T cover the over-abundance of stale, generic WW2 FPS or flooding the market with shlocky shovelware isn't much of an essay. You're essentially draw upon your own nostalgia to explain why video games SEEMED to be better way back then, not really giving any facts.
And, next gen people aren't nasty, they're just young. Odds are if *I* had online gaming when I was a kid, i would be just as bad as the idiots on halo3 after-school.

Secondly, I've yet to get the money to ship the 1st place DC (And all the accessories) due to me living in alaska. International post you probably break me.

Third, all bits of Dreamcast the winner didn't want, was retired with a shotgun.
