I came across this today by chance. For some fan-made shit thrown together, I actually think it's not half bad. Creative. It makes me wish the ThunderCats movie was actually going to be live action.

Yeah, me too. I loved Thundercats immensely... But if you pay attention, the characters are justy recoloured scenes from other movies. Tygra was Wolverine, Panthero was Riddick, not sure who Lion-o or the rest was, but Snarf was Garfield.

I had a fair idea of how it was put together, but I still felt it was kinda cool :) Cheetara was done using scenes taken from Farscape without any changing at all, and Brad Pitt was Lion-O with scenes taken from Troy.

Haha, that's pretty cool. They did a really good job of maintaining a sense of visual continuity with the footage, considering how many different sources all of it was taken from. The original effects were pretty convincing, too.

Considering how Hollywood is burning through one licensed adaptation after another, it's only a matter of time before a live-action Thundercats movie becomes a reality. When that happens, it should be interesting to compare the actual movie footage with this and see which is more faithful to the original source material.

I honestly doubt that if it was made into a live action movie, it would come anywhere close to this in terms of faithfulness to the original. Maybe I'm just being more pessimistic than I should be, but after seeing Hollywood bastardize some of the things I enjoyed as a kid and still do today, it's really hard for me not to be.

Anyway, yeah, that was really nice. Kinda cheesy, but still, really nice. I always thought ThunderCats was cool as a kid, but never watched as often as I could've. I think that at one point, I was really into the cartoon, but for some damn reason, I can't remember what most of it was about!

That's a pretty baller fan video, nonetheless.

I cam across this a while back. I remember reading that the dude went in and photoshopped every freaking frame. crazy.

As for a movie based on it.. I think it could work. But Hollywood is weird about making movies without any humans in them...

The thing is, they had a heavy Japanese influence, either directly or indirectly, I'm not sure, so it's actually more likely to come out in Japan... If they actually dig stuff up like we do.
