Saw it. I didn't like the story telling but at least it had more action than the first one so it didn't suck as hard.

At first, Transformers was just a anime show for me, which I never watched for more than 5 mins.

I saw it just yesterday. This movie has certainly been one of the funniest movies ever made. And so much action. I absolutley [I]loved[I] it! Best movie I've ever seen in my opinion. I loved the 1st one as well, so I knew I was gonna enjoy the 2nd. And there's bound to be a 3rd one, ofc, seeming as to other Decepticons were not delt with. It'll be so awesome!

I thought it was pretty good, but now know not to go see movies on their release dates anymore. It really sucks when people applaud for the smallest things... but other than that, a really good movie. And the animation (which I notice all the time now) was great too, but...

the only things I didn't care for was the Terminator chick, and the massive amount of inconsistencies. BUt I was Still Entertained so it was worth the money.

I loved the first one cause i've been a TF fan since i was 3 in 1984 when it came out but this movie is inferior to the first one. I mean some of the jokes went too far but there was some good action and it was great fun.

My god.

So I just got back from seeing this (Finally). It was amazing. I know Sam's personal life gets a lot of criticism because "I don't watch Transformers to see humans" but honestly, it was genuinely funny and provided a lot of backstory for what happens later on.

I really didn't like how Jetfire was portrayed as an 'old man', but he was hilarious. How he dies so Optimus can use his parts totally sucked (Especially because they've combined on multiple occasions with neither of them dying), but I didn't think they would use that in the movie. It was so awesome I nearly creamed my pants.
One thing that didn't make sense to me was all the unnecessary transformations. When the motorcycles are chasing the decepticon through Tokyo or whatever place in China that was, he transforms, jumps through a building, and re-transforms. ...Why? He could have either just driven through the lower level, or kept running once he transformed. It made no sense to do all that work. I guess it's a lot cooler to get cut in half by Sidesweep when you're in car form. Whatever. Or when they first deployed Optimus to take care of the..Giant...two wheeled thing. He rolls out of the airplane, transforms, deploys a few parachutes (how does three parachutes hold up 10 tons of robot?), then hits the ground and transforms again, only to transform yet again when he fights the two-wheeled robodude. It seems to me like that could have been a lot simpler.
And on the note of transformations, why are they so slow? In the shows and what-not, transforming is almost instantaneous. It takes all of a one second sound clip to go from robot to car. When Optimus talks to that government dude, it takes almost 10 seconds for him to fully transform. It actually looked painful. That's another thing about the transformations. They're so unnecessarily complicated. I get it, they're alien robots. But does that mean they have to have so many parts that you can't distinguish one thing from another thing? The thing that makes the Transformers individual is that you can tell what they're supposed to be. It's how you tell them apart. "Oh, lots of yellow. That must be Bumblebee." "That guy's chest looks like GMC product-placement. He must be Ironhide." But nearly all the Decepticons are indistinguishable gray generic robos. I could hardly tell Starscream and Megatron apart unless they were talking, or if Starscream was transformed. The only Decepticons with any distinguishable features (Devastator, Devastator's various parts, that two-wheeled guy that I'm still not sure the name of, Medusa bot (I'm not sure who or what it actually was; the one that seduced Sam)) had all of five minutes of screen time.
I might have been able to tell them apart, had the camera stayed still for longer than half a second. There isn't a single shot of the Transformers where they're not either fighting like mad, or standing completely still (Mainly Optimus). It's like, you spent so long making and designing these intricate characters, why not let us see them? That scene in the first movie where Optimus Prime introduced himself and the Autobots was great. There was no action, and you got to see all the Autobots transform and pose in their full glory, without any motion blur or anything. One of my favorite scenes in the entire movie is right after Sam finds out he's wanted by the government, and they're in some random junkyard or something, and Bumblebee transforms into car mode, and you see the entire thing happen, from start to finish. I wish all the other transformations in the movie were that uninhibited and not cut off by some awkward camera or obscured by a prop. Most of them are just "Car >Random mesh of metal > robot" I have no idea what parts go where, or why.

Regardless, I still enjoyed it.

On a seperate note, this movie is two and a half hours long. I had to pee half an hour into it and held it in for the two hours after that. I literally ran to the bathroom as soon as it ended. When I got home I still had to pee. Moral of the story: Don't buy a large drink before seeing this movie.
