Theme Words
First:Warp
Ability/item 1: Zero Dash- Phoenix can move up to 25 feet in any direction to evade attacks or get to a new spot. This can even be done in mid air and is completely instantaneous. The warp can only be done to a place Phoenix can see (so he can pass through windows, but not concrete unless he can see past it with a mirror or something). It only costs one action at first, but for every consecutive turn it's used it takes up another action, he can still do it the turn after he's maxed out of actions with it, but it'll stay at using all of his actions until he stops using it. Using it too many times in a row will quickly drain Phoenix's energy, but just once or twice won't affect him much.
Ability/item 2: Phoenix Breaker- Phoenix's signature attack for taking down targets. By performing the Zero Dash at slightly slower than light speeds, Phoenix achieves both a Sonic Boom and combustive air particles. The result is an actual Phoenix flying through the air straight into its opponent. This attack does heavy damage and is all but unavoidable, but Phoenix suffers great strain due to the g-forces and friction. This can only be done if Phoenix has no, minor, or moderate wounds, and instantly drops him to the next stage down after use. It sucks up all the actions of a post.
Second: Psionics
Ability/item 1: Clone Factory- Phoenix's cuffs take Phoenix's latent mental energy and convert it into a solid clone of him. The clone is significantly weaker, and can't perform the Zero Dash, Phoenix Breaker, or Psi tool, but it serves well for flank and attack, distraction, and meat shields. This technique takes up two actions of a post, and Clones only get one action a post. The clones only have 3 vitality points, and can't do more than minor damage, they also disappear after 3 posts. Phoenix can only have two clones at a time, and 4 is pretty much his limit in a battle. Since the clones use mental energy, he won't be physically exhausted, but the Psi tool also runs on mental energy, so he's got to be careful. This is secretly the reason behind Phoenix's famed ability to take take a lethal hit and come back at full strength.
Ability/item 2:Psi tool- The all purpose other function for Phoenix's cuffs. Once again, the cuffs form his mental energy into a solid object, this time it's an extension of his body though. The cuffs are usually used to form wrist blades that can cut from any direction and extend 10" out from the edge of his fist, but they can technically form into any object Phoenix can think of, but are limited to the 10". So it can pretty much only function as blades and then tools like a screwdriver, wrench, pliers, and hammer. It's a lightweight solution to weapons and tools, but the average battle uses approximately the same mental energy as one clone.
Third: Military
Ability/item 1: Glock .45 ACP (G30 if you want to look it up)- A very small and lightweight, yet powerful handgun. Phoenix conceals it in a camouflaged strap that blends into his puffy leg feathers. the gun is also blue tinted steel so it blends in too since both it and the blue strap are partially covered by the feathers. It contains a ten round magazine, and Phoenix doesn't have another clip. So that's eleven shots before a restock.
Ability/item 2: "Gimme That!"- Due to his training as an elite guard, Phoenix is capable of using almost any weapon under the Sun. If you can hit something with it, Phoenix can figure out how to use it efficiently and effectively. Enemy's using machine guns? Not a problem, take a guy out and grab one for yourself. Running out of mental strength? See that Fire Axe sitting lonely in the corner? Hell, even a letter opener or a rock is a deadly tool in his hands.
Role Playing
Back-story:Phoenix is a Squad Leader of the Palace Guards from Blaze's world. Palace Guard Squad Leaders are exceptional soldiers with genetic and technological enhancements to make them completely devastating. Phoenix in particular is good at just about everything, although he doesn't specialize in a particular mission type like other guards. He is however, known for his ability to bring himself and his teammates back from so called "suicide missions", and his teammates have all sworn that he's survived lethal attacks only to come back stronger than ever.
Phoenix was sent into Sonic's dimension for intel gathering and aiding the less effective military on that side. Phoenix works as a sort of special ops unit for GUN, although he is treated more like a hired hand in terms of pay and contact. Phoenix has since become known as the mysterious "Burning Ghost" rumor to gangs and criminals around the country. Even though he rarely goes after standard criminals on missions, his sense of duty has caused him to become a legal vigilante of sorts if he's around when a crime happens.
Example Post:"Damn" Phoenix cursed under his breath as he ran. His job was always tough, but asking him to take down an entire 45 man terrorist group by himself was really a little too much. He looked around quickly as a couple of the members were gaining on him,
'Need something to use, anything that'll pack a punch.' Suddenly, Phoenix spotted a set of barrels stacked on a pathway above them up ahead. 'Who's that stupid? Ah well, can't complain!' Phoenix leaped as high as he could and when he reached about twenty feet from the pathway, he disappeared with no trace and a small flash. The gang members looked stunned as they slowed to a halt and looked around for their missing prey.
"Tch, idiots." Phoenix said as he watched them from behind the barrels, 'Time for the fun part!' Phoenix let out his Psi blades and quickly cut a circle out in the ground around the barrels. "There he is!" One of the gang members shouted, and they all ran and circled around the platform, but Phoenix had already finished cutting. He hopped off the cut out portion and placed his foot on it.
"Good bye, can't say I'll miss you" Phoenix shouted as he pushed down the platform and all the barrels fell to the ground below and started bouncing every which way.
