Well iv been gone for a while and it seems like nobody missed me.Ahh well anyways this topic is to talk about which bands kickass and suck.If you don't like rock please don't bitch about it.

Muse, I love them to bits. Same with White Stripes, Jack White is a supurb guitarist. Queens of the Stone Age Are pretty good too. I wish Velvet Revolver could find a new lead singer. Those are the rock bands I'm listening to right now.

I dunno if they count as rock or not, but lately I've started becoming addicted to Blue Rodeo. Pink Floyd's a favorite of mine, especially when Barret was still around... I mean, what's wrong with psychedelia? Oh, and I've been listening to quite a chunk of the Hip lately.

I just think that Metal deserves its own topic. It's quite huge and I think it has evolved away from rock. I listen to many different types of metal, and I think it to be it's own category.

Furthermore... Rock and Roll is the main genre, if you're gonna say that some of that other stuff is Rock, and Metal isn't, then you're wrong as well. Simply because original Rock was started in the 1950s, almost nothing sounds like Rock sounded in the original days of it's founding. Metal is a sub-genre of Mainstream Rock, as is most of the other stuff we listen to these days that has an electric guitar and drums within the mix.

...and if we wanted to get stupid, rocks can become metals over time through many different ways.
