It should be obvious what this topic is modeled after. Just so long as long as whatever you bring up is readable. You can even talk about the text from a video for all I care (though subs are taking it a bit far). I don't have really high hopes for this topic, but as long as others are willing to participate, I will as well.

Currently, I'm reading through the lore from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.

Nick, I knew for a fact that you would be the one to say that exact thing.

I'm about to begin reading parts of this 276 page documentation, in PDF format, for Game Maker 7 in hopes of learning more about the Game Maker Language.

Is it really called 'game maker' seriously? They could have been more creative.

I guess I'm gonna look up some water tutorials for 3ds max.

Nah, I got it right the first time. You've been the one person in the past to say something like that when given the chance. Can't remember how many times, though. It could've only been once. Regardless, it still seems like something you'd do.

Anyway, yes, it really is called Game Maker 7. Not the most creative name, I agree, but it does get its point across in its title. Its leading competitor, if I'm not mistaken, is Multimedia Fusion 2. I think one of the main differences between the two is that Game Maker 7 has its own language to program in (which is object oriented; yay! ^_^ ) while Multimedia Fusion 2 is apparently more flexible.

Aye, same here [/gay]. Although my lack of internet has reduced me to using dodgy porn sites on my phone browser and with no flash player on my phone I'm stuck with pictures ;_;. God I miss motion porn.

Holy shit, I'm gonna have to watch that once I'm done with this game I'm playing right now.

I got my own cool idea for a game. It'll be a 2D platformer with the chracteristics of an action RPG. Think Super Paper Mario except with significantly less story and s ton of emphasis on exploration, stats (which will be done a la Ragnarok Online, partly), weaponry, amongst other things. I actually spent class time writing down a bunch of cool ideas (some inspired from other games, others original) for the game (about 4-5 pages worth in my slightly larger than pocket sized journal, but I write big), which I eventually plan on typing into a document. Once I get enough ideas, I'm probably gonna post them online to hopefully get some feedback on what to add into the game based on what I already have in my list.

Oh snap, I was totally about to bitch you the hell out for having your own opinion like the people on this forum are always doing, but your preemptive complaint about everyone's controlling behavior stopped me in my tracks! Congratulations to you on that flawless victory against The Man, you fantastic attention whore.

I'm on my tragically brief summer vacation at the moment, so the only thing I've had the drive to read recently is a bunch of miscellaneous manga. The last book I read was 'Wisdom Sits in Places' by Keith Basso. Before that, it was 'The Art of War' by Sun Tzu.

I just started re-reading "Tilt-A-Whirl" by Chris Grabenstein. I picked up in the UC Davis bookstore last year and it was a great, sarcastic mystery novel. I recommend it. =)

Now I'm reading my own code and the API for JTextArea. For our end of the year project in CompSci II, the four of us are making a test taking program due to the lack of a better idea (we considered how long something would take to make and our skill levels). I'm doing the Teacher's GUI and although I'm making good progress tonight, I'm confused as hell since most of my code isn't organized, which is making things harder to read than they should...
