Here's the breakdown:

My High School Prom: $150
Her School's Prom: $125
Going to both because they're on the same night: Broke ass me

I find it funny how I couldn't get a date for my own school (I never actually asked anyone, but they're all gone now), but I was asked by this girl from another school to go with her. Huh. Plus the fact that my school's in is a brand new mansion we'll be the first to experience. Her's, on the other hand, is going to be filled with many people I once knew and don't see anymore, and we were real cool in middle school so I know we'll have fun.

Is it worth going to both?

It's not worth going to either! Fuck the prom! Why the hell would anyone pay that much money to spend time with their teacher's, school's staff, police officers, and a bunch of other people they probably don't like?!

Oh yeah, that's a great excuse. You're going to waste an assload of money on something that's going to suck because you want to get out of the house. Not like there's anything else that the money you'd be spending on prom could be spent on. Not like there's a shit ton more interesting things to do than go to prom. Prom is THE place to be on prom night. For exactly all of the reasons I brought up in my previous post.

This is pretty much my opinion as well, honestly, but if you think you can go and have a good time then hell, go for it. Also, QM, police officers? What the fuck went down at your prom?

Nick, my advice would be to go to her school's prom. Even if your prom is taking place in a nicer building, ultimately I think you'll enjoy yourself more and come away with better memories if you spend the evening catching up with old friends. Does your date know many people at your school? If not, then that could be extra incentive to go to her prom, since that way you'll both have other people to talk to and neither one of you will feel alienated amongst a crowd of strangers.
Hey kids, remember to drink your drugs, stay in milk, and don't do school!

Go to prom.
What is it that makes a complete stranger dive into an icy river to save a solid gold baby? Maybe we'll never know.

One year, some doofuses decided to get drunk. I forget which year this happened or on what day.

Also, our schools have security guards that are also policemen. Apparently, schools in our district hate each other very much. So much that violence ensued frequently. Also, as long as I can remember, fights have spontaneously broken out frequently ever since I was in elementary school. Oh, and students love hitting teachers when they try to break up fights.

I'd understand that sentiment well but some people might actually like the kids who go to the prom, dunno.

I really enjoyed both of my proms. I don't see the problem. Nick, I'd tell you a few things:

1. You are lame for coming here to ask this. But don't worry, a lot of people here are lame in their own special way, so it's okay.
3. Go to the prom where you'll both know people. Location isn't important, it's the people you're having fun with that matters.
4. Fuck the number 2.

Why the fuck do you guys listen to Mrax about this kind of stuff? I thought you all would've figured out that he doesn't go out much, especially to social events. Plus we PMed this discussion and most of what he said only applied to him.

It's always fun to read about how fond of me in hidden ways. By the way I didn't mean that. I came up with a name for it while back: sarcasm.

Now for the others. I know tons of people at both schools, so that won't be an issue. I just brought it here to see if anyone else goes out often enough that they've had to make a decision like this.

Dude, since I doubt that you're implying that his opinion is that easily swayed, I think you didn't read his post correctly. He said that we shared opinions.

Also, I'm curious as to how most of this stuff only applies to me. Everything I said in my posts is true aside from the being around people you don't like, since not everybody has a ton of people they dislike like I do.

I know how you talk. You're talking about yourself.

I know what he was talking about, and can read that you shared opinions. I actually planned to spend the night half and half if I can find the money. Do I have to (or you) post that PM about how that doesn't apply to me?
