So yeah, I've pretty much stopped playing other games (P3FES, NG:Black, ect), and am only playing this and Dissidia. The game is freaking awesome.
It's broken up into a main mission, sub mission setup like most other sandbox games, and the sub missions due get a little repetitive after a while, but they're still pretty fun. The game really comes alive with stage battles though, they're kind of the big fight scenes in this game, and they're so wild that the frame rate goes for a loop some times.
The stage battles are like a fusion between the main game beat-em-up style, and RTS gameplay. You can run around as Eddie to help out your troops and get more fan geysers to cheer for you (giving you currency to build troops), and you can give orders to your guys with basic "attack, defend, follow," and "go here" commands. Starting with the second battle, Eddie gets wicked ass wings too, which make the command part, and the running back and forth a hell of a lot easier to manage, and overall makes them a lot of fun.
Oh, yeah, and the multiplayer mode is stage battle vs.
