Why won't anyone read or post to my story.
I mean, I worked hard to get it up.
Yet no one reads it. So what was the point.

I read some of it but my eyes kind of messed up my reading so I lost track of where I was...like a hundred stupid times...but I thought it was good just some grammatical improvements and splitting the paragraphs a bit would be helpful.And no one has replied to mine either so don't feel bad

Well I have redone the paragraphs and posted chapters 2 and 3 by accident. It was only supposed to be chapter 2. But two chapters can't hurt. Chapter 4 might not come until a couple of weeks or more.

I apprehend some of it but my eyes affectionate of messed up my account so I absent clue of area I was...like a hundred brainless times...but I anticipation it was acceptable just some grammatical improvements and agreeable the paragraphs a bit would be helpful.And no one has replied to abundance either so don't feel bad

Hey, um... Just thought I would drop in a few minutes...

I'm just gonna get to my point.

My story (stories) have sentimental value to me and so does this forum. I mean, this was one of the first forums I ever visited, and I always felt like people took interest in the things I wrote (and was proved right. My story has a LOAD of views), and they did give some useful tips.
But after something happened, I just don't feel safe here anymore...

So here's the question:

Should I even keep my stories and Discussion topics up here?

I changed the poll to the question, and I have hope... But it's only a little...

That hope is that you all will still want me to stay...

Im going to be straight-up honest, so if you're looking for comfort or solace, I would skip this entire post and continue living in delusion.

I feel like a bitter oldfag saying this, but... This place is fucking dead, man. Worthless.
In two years there have been 16 replies to this topic, 11 of which have been your own, and the 5 that weren't you replying are empty and useless. What does that tell ya?

The title of the story is not creative and generally not interesting at all.

The characters in post #12, which I assume are part of this story, are monotonous and uninspiring. Firstly, they were created with a Sonic character generator... that's fucking terrible to begin with, as their is NO creativity in that. At all. Their names are terrible, even for Sonic fan characters. Sonis? Really? One fucking letter away from being Sonic. That's not just stupid, that's plagiarism. They all are/look like hedgehogs, which is a species so cliche among fan characters I wont even begin that rant. They're all dressed in a lot of bullshit they don't need in a world of characters who usually only wear shoes and gloves if they're males. On top of being boring and disastrous in appearance, they all look the same. They are fucking recolors of recolors... and that's appalling.

Im not going to speak for anyone else in this last comment, but its safe to say that no one else here gives a shit about any of this. You would be much happier posting this... stuff in a forum of people who can somehow find this shit interesting.


Lastly, don't let the harsh words fool you, I do not say any of this to discourage you from continuing your works as a Sonic fan. In fact, I hope you read this and learn something from it, and become better from having read it. The fan base is full of idiots and losers who force their cliche bullshit on people and expect them to find it as thrilling as they do, and then lash out at the ones disagree or criticize their work as if they don't have the right of free speech. Don't become that.

There are two different types of criticism on the net: bashing, and constructive. Some of us don't particularly care what you make, but we still have the decency to let you know if it's good or not, and tell you how you can improve. Others don't give a fuck regardless and just wanna see you cry and cause drama. See, if you choose to better yourself based on constructive criticism, you show us that you actually give a shit what we say, and that you WANT us to take you seriously and genuinely like your work. Some of us are writers, and know how to make a story interesting and deep, and we know what to look for when something is bad. What you have here falls under the category of bad, and what we tell you to change is for your benefit. Complaining about us telling you how to improve, or falling back on blind, mindless praise does not make your story good, and it never will. You will only inflate your ego and continue to do horribly and please only the young, naive readers that don't clearly understand how a story should be written.

First to say, I was a year younger, and didn't know much stuff about writing a great story. You could say this one was my 'Start' at storywriting.

I'll admit, yes, the forum is somewhat dying, but it isn't completely dead yet. Someone just has to create a good topic everyon will be interested in.

As said above, I was younger. I've been thinking about shortening the title some. Possibly removing the 'Sonic The Hedgehog' part for starters, and possible just renaming the whole thing to 'Quest For The Sword'...

Maybe the fan characters look the same, but I didn't have much inspiration at that time. Plus I'm not so good at drawing, so trying to create a good fan character is hard, but you're right, a Sonic Character Generator isn't the best way to make one. I'll try to find some different way to re-create them. But I'm totally keeping the darn colors!
About the names, those were mostly the best I came up with... I wanted to change them, but I couldn't find something different to use at the moment... I'll change the names, but I don't guarentee a complete change (Besides Sonis, whom will have a full name change just because of the huge similarity of the name to Sonic's)

Actually, it's a very reasonable and inspirational post. It helps alot, as you probably tell from the information above...

Well, they aren't exactly idiots or losers, but I agree that it isn't right to force someone to like something.
