Unless they fix the AI, don't bother. They can add all the graphical polish, new and unneeded characters and weapons they want. The game still won't be a lick of fun when you're getting rained on by a dozen off-screen projectiles.

I knew it. I knew it would happen. I heard the first version of Ninja Gaiden for the PS2 was crap, and look at what they did with that.

So maybe this time they'll stop fucking around and make a decent game.

So, adding two new characters, more content into story mode... and an online co-op? The online co-op just made the game worth the wait.

This was obvious with Ninja Gaiden II two not being released on PS3 or the Sigma I on the PS3.

I think it's really lazy to make a game and then makes some awesome upgrades that should've been in the original and rerelease it.

Again, if it's still just dodging off-screen projectiles don't bother. They didn't make any great leaps and bounds with the AI on Sigma on the conversion, so I don't see them trying fix any of the gaping holes in the AI in this one. Also, the online co-op only seems to apply to the mission mode, which is good, but real ninjas don't need a second player.

So it looks like the projectile spam has been reduced and the game has been made "easier". By easier that placed in a few more save points and gave healing items in chests, and removed the ability to grind. So in short they made it so you could play the game without wasting hours getting money and added in save points instead of having an artificial difficulty curve.

I have been playing this and this sucker is a blast. I like the fights more than NGS, but this game feels a lot easier than NGS.

It's out? Damn. i need to check it out. I've been playing Ng2 and NGS recently, and am quite curious if they fixed any of the issues I really, REALLY hated.

I honestly don't get how you have an issue with the off-screen projectiles. Never bothered me much in NG2. I guess I just play differently than you do.

I dunno, from what I heard most of what made NGS2 difficult was the fact you were getting pelted by weaponry you couldn't even see. Also you should take into account complaints like the one that come from Muzzy would be about higher levels of play, and not so much the easy modes.

I have an issue with 5 guys off-screen pelting me with exploding ninja stars, blasting back about 20 feet everytime I get hit. And now that I'm 20 feet away, I wonder if the 3 other guys I was fighting are going to come in and fight up close. No? That's right. Ninja stars. For more exploding fun.

Reminds me of PS1 days, where fighting the camera over shit like that was the norm.

Also, vote as to what I should grab next: Brutal Legend, Silent Hill 2 and 3, or Ninja Gaiden Black and 2.

I already beat the NES Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2, and if Black's meaning of fear is anything like that it's no big deal. It gets me fired up more than anything.
