My gawd, not even fucking 10 minutes into the movie, and they completely fucked every single thing up that made Dragonball what it is.

Aw, come on. You have to keep in mind that not everything can be fit into a movie, and that some things were... Okay, you know what? No. Just no. This movie sucks.

Gohan being against Goku beating the hell out of people who obviously deserved it confuses the hell out of me, especially since Goku didn't have a problem with it in the anime... I also did not realize that the girl in the red dress was supposed to be Chi-Chi until that scene with the lockers... There were so many other things wrong with this movie as well, but I'd be foolish to be surprised or to dwell on everything that confuses me knowing what type of movie it is...

Hey, believe it or not, they did something right! Chi-Chi lives in a castle in Dragonball!

The parts I watched were so generic and predictable that I can't even bring myself to hate it. This is just the prototype for every American fantasy/action/martial arts/coming of age film ever made with the DragonBall title slapped on it to trick people into thinking there's something unique or interesting about the movie. It would almost be better if there was something spectacularly awful about the thing if only to give it some damn personality... It just looks so bland and insipid and forgettable that you can barely even form an opinion about it because you don't care about what you're seeing at all.

I briefly considered seeing this in theaters for the train wreck humor value, but now I'm glad I didn't. I would have been bored half to death.

Apparently youtube removed part 7 (why only 7, I'll never know), so I don't even know how it ends.

What I CAN tell you, however, is that this movie has absolutely no relevance at all to the anime. This was a terrible adaption, and they should be ashamed for making it. None of it made sense, none of it stayed true to the anime, and for the love of fuck, where is the PACING??
